Very interesting.

I'm suspecting that the 2A community will be active in promoting optional low cost private education and training for those interested.

The open carry 2A group has made a large contribution to responsible and disciplined carry open or concealed.

What is it with Arizona and female governors?

But I have to say, Jan Brewer looks like a “keeper”!

AS IT SHOULD BE!

Keeping and bearing arms is a God-given HUMAN RIGHT. You should no more need a "permit" to enjoy this right no more than you should need a permit to post a website or print a newspaper.

It seems to me letting folks carry without a permit is close to anarchy. Do they prohibit convicted felons from owing and carrying? How about folks with mental problems? Requiring someone to go through the process required to obtain a permit allows some degree of control to weed out folks that really should not be allowed to carry a concealed weapon.

Are you really OK with your rights being rationed?

Defend some rights, but demand restrictions on others, rendering them a mere privilege?

Prior to certain Jim Crow laws and the Nazi Weapons law of 1938 being adopted as the “Gun Control Act of 1968”, etc. unconstitutional permits were not needed by American citizens.

I am certain the law specifically prohibits carry by “Prohibited Persons”, which would include felons and the mentally ill.

Do you actually think that allowing more law abiding Americans to exercise this constitutional right is going to affect the number of felons or mentally ill who ignore the law?

If this is anarchy, we need more of it!

Typical. the article fails to clearly state weather of not visitors will also be allowed concealed without a permit.

Pertinent to me, as I will no longer have CCW reciprocity via my Nevada permit.

Yeah I could not agree with this more. CCW is better than nothing but to respect the Constitution this is the way to go.
