Again, gorgeous dog. Mine will be 8 years old in July. My next one will probably be a black. The blues don't have as strong blood lines and are prone to more ailments. Mine had a terrible time after his tail was docked. Since then though, I haven't had too many problems with him (he has a skin condition that no vet has been able to beat).

But, he is very LOYAL. I don't know if you've had others, but dobes are very family oriented. I can't walk through the house without him following me. He always wants to be where his people are. Which can be a little much sometimes because he is like a small horse.

And of course, no one else is going to make it in the house unless they are invited.
