Another cop I worked with years ago told me a story about demon possession. He had arrested a guy one night for drunk driving. Had the guy in cuffs in the back seat. He said that the guy had been weird from the get go.
As he was driving down the road towards the jail he could hear the guy in the back chanting in a low voice. Then the guy started making grunting and growling noises. When the cop looked in the rearview mirror he could see that the guy had red eyes. It was night time, and the back seat was dark, but he could see those red eyes. They guy had somehow gotten out of the cuffs and was raising cain in the back seat. The cop called for more units, and they had quite a brouhaha on their hands. He said the guy was incredibly strong, never spoke a coherent word, and kept the red eyes until arrival at the jail where they returned to their normal color.
The cop was an atheist at that time. He had an epiphany after that.

That’s because we’re too sophisticated for such backward superstitions, don’tcha know.
Oh yea, forgot about that. We are so much smarter than God.
