Mostly they’re fighting each other. The federales just lay bets and go with whoever is on top. Not an inusrgency really. More like anarchy. Our own Wild West wasn’t near this wild.

wanna see death and destruction? Have a drug lord burn my house down and I will show you what war is all about. Not a real man in the entire country. I would rather die than have some scum terrorize my family. If the gutless cowards in Mexico had a spinner, pride and integrity there would be an uprising and the Drug Dealers would be too scared to show their faces in public.
Maybe something is wrong with me, because I wouldn’t hesitate to turn the tables. And I know enough men that would be more than happy to help out.
We can send 12 million replacement Mexicans if they are running low.
Just an excuse for the continued invasion of the United States by Mexico.

That, sadly, has been going on for some time...all over the country.
Last summer, in my area of NO. California, the rival gangs were fighting with each other for control of the pot plantations on our public lands.

Three young men admitted in Jackson County Circuit Court today that they participated in a gang-related fight that left a 24-year-old Central Point man dead in September.
Lucas Benjamin Molina, 19; Guibran Ramirez, 20; and Sergio Meza, 19, each pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted second-degree assault and a riot charge for their roles in a melee at an apartment complex in the 600 block of Beatty Street, Medford. In the fight, Marco Diaz was stabbed to death.
Each charge carries an 18-month prison sentence, so each of the men was sentenced to four and a half years in prison and two years of post-prison supervision.
“I would give you more time if I could,” Circuit Court Judge Tim Barnack told Molina in court.
“I don’t want to see you again,” Barnack said, pointing out that the actions Molina admitted were part of a fatal fight, making him partially responsible for Diaz’s death, even if he didn’t directly kill him.
Mauricio Humberto Teran, 14, pleaded guilty in March to second-degree manslaughter for delivering the fatal blows. He was sentenced to up to 10 years of detention by the Oregon Youth Authority.
Statements signed by Molina, Ramirez and Meza in court indicate that Meza, Diaz and Jose Salvador Banuelos-Mercado — all associated with a Sureño gang called the Southsiders — went to the Beatty Street apartments to confront members of a Norteño gang called the Northsiders.[snip]

An irony that the typical Mexican on the street has become aware of is that in 1810 and 1910, there were vicious and bloody civil wars, the last one being so traumatic that even today, Mexicans have a lot of cultural quirks based on it.
For many years, the official government was pretty much confined to Mexico City, with the countryside dominated by bandito warlords. So it is not too far different from what is being seen today.
Liberals will use this as an opportunity to increase immigration from Mexico.
Some BS refugee status.
What should be done is to put the Military on the US- Mexico border.
The problem you can not own a gun in Mexico. The government has taken the guns from the law abiding. Soon coming to your town!!
