Turns out it is McCain that is showing “Transparency” in our government.
It is amazing anyone in AZ takes him seriously. After he wins the nomination he’ll be right back to amnesty.
McCain has made he right call but only after understanding border security is a REAL issue. It’s to little to late. I truly love the old guy but this time he won’t be able to waltz to the right.

My thinking was that he meant our troops were to supply water bottles , bagged lunches and grayhound bus tickets to the city of their choice.

The Senator awakes from coma, he will go back to sleep again, too. Actually, the US wants the border under its control and authority to remain uncontrolled.
What McCain has realized is that the Drug cartels are creating their own control segments of the border including towns and whole county regions to be no mans lands for Mexican civilians now and to expand this to the US later if the US does not rise to the occasion in opposition. While that exposes themselves more for focus of action by the Mexican govt and the US, as civilians leave, it fills the vacuum voided by the US to the displeasure of an awakened McCain. 3000 troops can defend part of the border. The Drug cartels may escalate with foreign help.
McCain just needs to retire and enjoy the cocktail party circuit.
