Second, more powerful Icelandic volcano likely to explode soon

Despite grounding 100,000 flights across Europe , battering a beleaguered airline industry, stranding hundreds of thousands of travellers, disrupting schools and businesses, and giving homes under flight paths their first peace and quiet in decades, the current volcano eruption may be only a teaser of chaos to come.
A far bigger Icelandic volcano, Katla, is tipped to erupt in the coming months, potentially causing much more savage and sustained disruption to industry and society. Eyjafjallajokull erupted on 14 April, forcing European governments to impose a no-fly zone. Each time Eyjafjallajokull has erupted in the past 2,000 years in 920, in 1612 and between 1821 and 1823 Katla has exploded within six months.

"Each time Eyjafjallajokull has erupted in the past 2,000 years in 920, in 1612 and between 1821 and 1823 Katla has exploded within six months." This is the central datum that caught my eye several days ago.
These two volcanoes are basically sisters. When one goes off, the other soon follows. Katla is the more fearsome of the two, and when that one blows, it's going to affect the whole earth.
The most devastating consequences will be seen in Iceland itself, and in the areas of Europe most recently affected. If Katla goes, North-Western Europe is going to look like something out of a doomsday novel.
Couldn't come at a worse time, politically, or economically.

I find myself cheering for the Volcano's. I know its wrong but seeing the Earth demonstrate in no uncertain terms that humans are not in charge around here brings me a sort of guilty pleasure. It just goes to show how farcical all this Gia cult / global warming crap is. A volcano cannot be appeased by throwing it virgins, and it can't be appeased by driving a Toyota Prius. So all you greenies who think you can control nature get a good look. Nature controls you.
Now all you greenies please get back to picking up trash or doing something for the environment that might actually be useful. Not because you are saving the Earth (It can take care of itself quite nicely thank you) but because it makes peoples lives on the Earth a bit more pleasant.

I was watching "How the Earth Was Made tonight. The show was "Icelandic Volcanos' Apparently, the biggest explosion was in 1793, there was soo much SO2 that the sky turned red and misty. Leading to widspread famine and freezing the Mississippi River solid as far as New Orleans!

A few weeks ago Obama was mocking this stuff...
Theres been plenty of fear-mongering, plenty of overheated rhetoric. You turn on the news, youll see the same folks are still shouting about theres going to be an end of the world because this bill passed. (Laughter.) Im not exaggerating. Leaders of the Republican Party, they called the passage of this bill Armageddon. (Laughter.) Armageddon. End of freedom as we know it.
So after I signed the bill, I looked around to see if there any (laughter) asteroids falling or (applause) some cracks opening up in the Earth. (Laughter.) It turned out it was a nice day. (Laughter.) Birds were chirping. Folks were strolling down the Mall. People still have their doctors.

Usually I give the items a month away from expiration to the food bank

Professor McGuire, who sits on the Governments Cobra emergency committee, pointed out that Katla was 10 times bigger than Eyjafjallajokull. It also has a much bigger ice cap, and it is the mixture of melting cold water and lava that causes explosions and for ash to shoot to high altitudes. I guess nuking the ice cap wouldn't be PC, would it?

Sorry, the Gia cultists will say the earth is simply trying to purge itself of the human parasites.
The main flaw of the greens is treating the Earth like a living thing. The Earth is a big ball of molten iron with a thin crust of crud floating on the surface. We live on the crud. A crud covered iron ball doesn't have emotions. A crud covered iron ball doesn't worry about the stuff living on the crud. A crud covered iron ball cannot be angered or appeased. It just orbits around another big ball of fusing helium nuclei (that also doesn't give a rat's rear end about us) and occasionally has an earthquake or volcano to let out a little heat.
