Confirmed! Global warming is 'settled' – as a scam
WND ^ | April 20, 2010 | Bob Unruh

Al Gore's insistence that global warming is "settled science" has been used to defend claims humanity is on the edge of destroying the world. Now author Brian Sussman, whose book "Climategate" is being released Thursday – Earth Day – agrees it's "settled," as a scam.

Sussman unveils in his book evidence that the move to restrict carbon-dioxide emissions , tax a multitude of energy programs and create a "Big Brother" that would limit household energy use , among other programs, is a move to give government unlimited control over people.

National Public Radio reported in 2007 how Gore took his "climate-change crusade" to Congress and said the science on the issue was "settled." Then in 2009 the Environmental Protection Agency declared carbon dioxide and other emissions are endangering the future of the world.

Sussman's book, the newest title by WND Books, has been charting for several weeks already among Amazon's top 10 preordered titles. It warns that believing global warming is "settled science" is a danger itself.

He writes that the now-notorious intercepted e-mails that reveal leading global-warming supporters exchanging plans to squelch critics and falsify data are just the tip of the iceberg.

Confirmed! Global warming is ‘settled’ – as a scam

Please tell this to the US Senate, I don’t think they got the word.

That might be effective

IF

this were truly about affecting climate change.

It’s not.

Sussman is a meteorologist by trade, who was put into the unfortunate position of having to replace local Bay Area legend Lee Rodgers on the KSFO morning show.

I hope his book does well. I hope it is more entertaining than his dull, by-the-numbers radio show.

Doing the weather show in California is always dull. No extremes; No hurricanes; No tornadoes; Earthquakes are no part of the forecast.

No such thing as “settled science” ...in science everything is always worthy of, and open to scrutiny. That’s the essence of the scientific process otherwise we would still be stuck with the “settled” science of there only being four ‘elements’ (earth, wind, fire, and water), all co-existing on a flat earth.

Science is never settled because the last rule of the scientific method is to reexamine everything. Peer review is also a principal of science.

Now this is something I’ve thought of before - get a FReeper from each state (or maybe two) to group order a set of this kind of book & have them sent directly to the senate, with appropriate press.

Another good book would be Unstoppable Global Warming: Every 1500 Years, coauthored by Fred Singer.

Even Newtons laws go under the microscope as knowledge grows. There will always be change. (...and I'm not talking about the climate... in the sciences)

Nothing will change because the truth does not matter for Utopians. Marx was shown to be a fraud many, many decades ago, yet his "theories" are as popular as ever. FDR was a racist socialist, elitist pig --- and how many people know that?

Global warming will not die until some huge calamity occurs, which will make it too expensive to even entertain any ideas about combatting global warming. People will then move on WITHOUT changing their views; they'll simply forget.

Indeed, even things as fundamental and established as the model of the atom is not thought of as “truth” or “settled Science”; it is a useful model that is accepted PROVISIONALLY, awaiting further data that could amend, refine, or even reject it.

These guys knew the gig was up with peer reviewers breathing down their neck. The Climate’gate’ e-mails said they would “Redefine the peer review process if we have to”.

They knew they had to in order for their fraud to stand.

Previously I accepted that the globe was indeed warming over the last couple decades; but I didn't see where it was established that....

a) Warming was a bad thing. The Medieval Warm Period was good times and good wines all around, and it is still not as warm as it was then.

b) The warming was human caused or influenced. Global temperatures have fluctuated throughout the last millions of years, and the majority of time that the Earth has existed, humans have not. The NATURAL causes that there are causing climate change, and how much influence they exert has not been shown in any relation to the influence that human industrial activities have exerted.

Now that was how weak their case was BEFORE the e-mail release, even ACCEPTING at face value that the globe was indeed warming over the last couple decades.

Now that we know they used a “trick” to “hide the decline” in temperatures over the last ten years; what basis is there to say that the globe is inexorably warming, that it is a bad thing, and that it is primarily human caused?
