I don’t get all these posters from other states predicting what a gov in another state will or will not do.

“why would someone from panama care about a bill in az? just curious?”

Because I am a U.S. citizen, and this is affecting us all even if I am not from Arizona or living in the States.

It is still my country as putrid as it has become.

If you care that much you can send AZ a check cuz realistically we can’t afford it. Thanks for your concern.

RE: “About half the mex-am’s in Arizona probably support the bill.
It’s the leftist orgs and the illegals that are in opposition.”

***************

I’m in L.A. and have talked to a few ‘Mexican legals’ about this issue. They say they support it and wish we could stop the illegals but they also say that OPENLY taking this stance would get them in trouble, and that bills of this sort ruin it for the conservatives and/or GOP in general when it comes to winning elections.

It’s like that old bit about being able to trash your own family but no outsider is allowed to do the same — These (mostly Mexican) immigrants stick up for each other, at least out in public.

RE: She’ll cave

COUNT on it! The One has also just spoken out about it — those are HIS ‘voters’ who would be affected. Can’t have THAT now, can we? What promises will be made to Brewer in order for her to veto?

We don’t have the same problem that CA does. McCain beat Obama for the Presidency in AZ.

She’ll sign it.

Good grief, sabe...why shouldn't we care?

Finally a governor has the guts to do what is right. Hopefully, other States will follow suit.

Let me get this straight ... people who are here legally, whether citizens or in the process of becoming citizens, are howling about legislation that would limit the number of illegals entering the country?

Racial profiling be damned. The governor should sign the bill then announce an intense enforcement effort. Over the first 10 days, EVERYBODY IN THE STATE would be checked for citizenship status, starting with those idiot protesters.

After that is done, the border should be sealed, tight.

I lived 28 years in CA. And then I moved here.

I got so tired of voting against Dems I moved somewhere else where my vote for Republicans actually meant something.

I’m in TN and I care about this bill...it has national implications in light of Obama and the Dems and milquetoast GOP support of amnesty

That headline painted me a fairly grim mental picture for a millisecond.
