NEW JERSEY (WABC) -- New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has been in office for just three months, and a new eyewitness news poll shows voters are not giving him any kind of a honeymoon as he presses for budget cuts.

Only 33% of New Jersey residents approve the job Christie is doing as governor.

Nearly twice the number, 63% disapprove.

The telephone poll by SurveyUSA has a margin of error of plus or minus 4%.

I’m calling BS on this one. Christie is governing just like he campaigned. Unlike Blowbama, who would have received about 30% if he actually told the truth about the socialist scams that he’s trying to pull off.

Cutting the leeches off the taxpayers is going to make anyone unpopular in this day and age. He’s politically courageous for doing so.

Now the voters just expect politicians to get into office and hand out goodies, regardless of the cost....since most of them aren’t payin’.

Assuming the poll is accurate, it is New Jersey.
Voters may have just wanted a Republican for four years to make the welfare state work better, not cut it.

You’re not going to find any favorable press of a Republican in the MSM unless it’s John McCain, Lindsey Graham, or Mitt Romney. Esepecially in 2010.

I’m strongly inclined to agree with you.

Poll results are employed in accordance with the unspoken motives that triggered the exercise in the first place:

Namely, to confer moral authority for their usage as a legitimate tool of cultural intimidation against those whom the results have shown to be one’s adversaries.

I agree. The recent school budget vote sure looks like the support for Christie is there.

99% of the random calls were, miraculously, made to members of the NJEA.

They probably sampled Newark, Camden or just Hudson County. Maybe just the teachers or state union workers. Nobody has ever asked me what I think.

A push “poll” sponsored by the teachers unions?
Reality, from Rasmussen, Monday, April 19, 2010:
53% in New Jersey Approve of Governor’s Job Performance.

They’ve probably heard he’s been mentioned as a possible “12 candidate. Time to begin to destroy him. I know teachers in NJ who support him wholeheartedly, although they can’t say so..

Have to say many many people in NJ are wimpy, I might even say cowards. They react so negatively to anything confrontational.

I dont live in NJ but I have family that does. NJ people need to deal with some reality. The answer to everything cannot always be raise taxes on rich people. You need to grow the economy and you have to bew serious about budget spending.
