Interesting tidbit in our geography text books. We are studying East Asia, and they list NK as having a 99% literacy rate.

I guess they don't count all those folks in the camps starving to death.

I was thinking that all the time otherwise wasted on eating they use to learn how to read.

The bit about pushing NK “literacy” is interesting.
