I’m okay with checking every candidate.

******

Attach long form birth certificate to application: Yes, let's require representative, senator, and presidential candidates to attach their long form birth certificates to their application forms when they apply to run for those offices in each state's primary.

The application forms with the long form birth certificates would then immdiately become part of the public record, and so the public and the media would have a legal right to examine a candidate's long form birth certificate any time they wished.

A pee test, a sanity test, and a 2 term limit. Also, 80% cut in pay - including all former congressmen, and elimination of their royals royce retirment plan... including ones already retired.

We are getting close to a Revolution.

I don’t think so. And they allow illegals to drive here. This state is overrun by Dems. THanks to some of our intrepid Pubbies, they stopped an even worse voter law from being imposed just last week. The legislature has adjouned, so we’re safe for now.

The law that was stopped was an outomatic voter registration every time you contacted the state govt. for anything — DL, hunting license, Aid to Dependent Children, etc.

Can you imagine all the duplications? All the better to provide opportunities for voter fraud. Plus, they negated the ability for people to challenge a voter. The penalties for voter fraud are a slap on the wrist. The penalty for improperly challenging a voter was to be a $300,000 fine and jail time. And absentee ballots would be permanent — apply for an absentee ballot once and you would be sent one in every electionD

WHY in the HELL do want a &!$@#*% BANK ACCOUNT number?!

WI allows you to register to vote using several forms of ID. This is because "supposedly" elderly people, poor people, non-drivers, etc. don't have access to regular ID. The main ID here is your driver's license, or state ID for those without DLs, or utility bill with your address on it, or bank statement or credit card statement with your address on it, along with the last 4 digits of your SS number.

Of course, when registering new voters, I cannot look at the SS card, or the DL. It has me screaming at every training! But, I have to write down the document number of every secondary doc used for ID. And if you have no cdocs? No problem. Bring a neighbor who is a registered voter to vouch for you.

If you have no permanent address? No problem. The state provides a little diagram on the registration form where you can designate the street corner where you hang out. Just ID the street names and the neares landmarks -- you know, I live in that cardboard box next to the public library!

The fallacy of all this is that those who want to beat the system can just lie, and I have no way of checking. University students brag about doing it all the time -- and voting twice. One election they had 3000 more students voting from a dorm in Madison than actually lived there. And that's not counting those who came home and voted from home too.

There is supposed to be a system in place to cross check all these votes, but it is not working yet, even though it was supposed to be in place in 2006.

Even if fraud is proven, the votes are already counted and there is nothing you can do about it. If 100 votes are found to be fraudulent (unlikely because they really make it hard to check) the worst they could do would be to subtract 50 votes from each candidate.

BTW, when I first registered to vote here, I brought everything — DL, Birth Certificate (yes Obamby, I have one), Baptismal certificate (well, it was in the same file), Social Security card. All they wanted to see at that time (1987) was my electric bill! I objected, asking, “How to you know I’m a citizen?”

“Well, you don’t have an accent.”

“I could have come from an English speaking country and lived here a long time...”

“OK, I’ll look at your birth certificate, if you insist, but I really want your electric bill.”

I wass working as apoll watcher in one election when I saw a poll worker try to give a ballot to a man who was a non-citizen (by his own admission) because “He’s lived here 25 years and should be allowed to vote on the water issue.” Luckily, the chief election clerk stopped that, or I would have had to speak up and cause a ruckus.

I can get to my long form birth certificate within two minutes. Obama wrote that he had his BC in his possession, or told Ayers that he did. This issue couldn't be simpler...release the original unamended document and any amendments regardless of what they say. I'll even assume for the sake of argument that it proves that he is a natural born US citizen, release it anyway. If child custody and divorce records are a matter of public interest then surely this $10 document is. The media and the Left are so corrupt it's disgusting.

In these times, Hayworth is absolutely right. An elected official's history is of upmost importance as that person has the literal responsibility of making law.

A background check should be done on EVER SINGLE CANDIDATE as well...had that been done, bill clinton would have never passed muster. And uhbama would not have passed, either.

And I’ve been dissed on this forum for advocating exactly the same thing. One shouldn’t be able to run for dog catcher without documentation of qualifications to hold the office.

All I know is the State of Arizona required a copy of my long-form BC for teacher certification purposes.

So POTUS should be held to a lower standard?!

We do in Ohio, but only for the people that live here. Anyone bussed in from Indiana, doesn’t need to show proof. Just ask Jennifer Brunner!

“University students brag about doing it all the time — and voting twice. One election they had 3000 more students voting from a dorm in Madison than actually lived there. And that’s not counting those who came home and voted from home too. “

Something probably taught in voter fraud 101 classes by liberal college professors on behalf of moveon.org.

It might reveal that some of the office holders got VD, or are demonspawn. That would be an unacceptable invasion of their privacy. So long as they weren’t born or hatched in She’ol, it doesn’t matter that their father and/or mother was. They’re natural-born citizens. What? You got something against sons of immigrants?
