The Fall 2010 elections haven’t been held yet, and the bribes have not yet been fully distributed. In other words: it’s too early to know if the Stimulus has served its purpose yet.

Way too much money spent on services.
Way too little invested in infrastructure.

As Obama and Biden continue to say, the stimulus worked exactly the way it was designed to work.

Economists: The stimulus didn't help

Yeah, but, the "wealth" was re-distributed.

Which of course, yet again, illustrates the fact that wealth redistribution does not stimulate or grow an economy.

Of course it didn’t help. It wasn’t supposed to and there was no way it COULD help what they claimed it was for.

Economists are like those Indian weather rocks that tell you it’s raining because the rock is wet.

Uh, it wasn’t designed to help to economy.

It was and is a slush fund, a war chest. It was crystal clear what it was going to be used for.

Much of it is still waiting to be dished out to his base this November. Or, maybe he’ll just save it for himself in 2012.

Let me preface my comments.I do not like Obama or his marxist policies. However, some parts did work. Cash for clunkers did sell a lot of cars. Maybe not the way they intended but dealers cleaned up lots of inventory.
The new/existing home buyer tax credit sold houses. New home sales were UP 26 % from last year. The tax credit on energy star appliances is selling out in hours. The tax credit on wood & pellet stoves has increased business for those retailers. The nice thing about a tax credit is that you actually have to pay taxes to get the credit.
Most of the stimulus was wasted. However, if you throw out enough cash something had to work.
