He is right in that there will be Constitutional arguments only in the sense that the national borders are a federal matter, not state. But of course, we know how interested the feds are in closing our borders, protecting the national security and stopping illegal immigration....(barf)

Imagine this...five thousand leftists arrive in Arizona over the weekend and every time a cop asks who they are...the response is “Juan Lopez”...with no ID on them. In fact, folks could walk up to the cops and insist they are illegal...and crush the state’s law enforcement system easily.

The AZ border with Mexico is indeed a national border, but it is also a state border... It’s not unprecedented for states to police their borders. Don’t 18 wheelers have to pull over often when you cross state lines?

Arizona will argue that they are not patrolling the border. They are dealing with people in the interior of the state who are here illegally. They will also cite the federal law that grants the states the power to do so.
