Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is speaking out against the new hard-line immigration law in Arizona, becoming the first prominent national Republican to do so.
"I think it creates unintended consequences," he said in a telephone interview with POLITICO Tuesday. "It's difficult for me to imagine how you're going to enforce this law. It places a significant burden on local law enforcement and you have civil liberties issues that are significant as well."

Jeb Bush, the entire Bush family actually, is wrong on this issue. They resort every time to impugning our decency as human beings. There is no Constitution, there are no laws, there is no national interest. And they are just wrong.
Jeb is married to the daughter of a Mexican migrant worker.
That’s about all one needs to know about that.
NO MORE BUSH FOLK IN OFFICE. PERIOD!!!
SHUT UP, Jeb!
Well, Jeb - ol’ buddy - if you EVER had any aspirations for the White House, you just pooped in your mess kit...bye.
Is this a time machine? Or a bad dream? Arizona illegals will flee the state when they see democrats on TV talking about the police state,
Sending back 30 million illegals sounds like an impossible task, but so did digging the Panama Canal. We really need an effective border fence to make sure we cut off the flow.
I agree. This jerk swore an oath to support and protect the Consititution and the LAWS of the United States.
Why do so many legislators believe in selective law enforecement?
I wonder if this clown endorses rapists and murderers skipping jail time.
Jeb Bush = open mouth..insert foot
The Bushes are so tiresome about this issue.
There’s nothing I can add to the comments. Just about every comment on this thread expressed my sentiments after reading the article.
“I’m all out of compassion”.
Hey Jeb, you wouldn’t do the job; so we the people found someone that would. Get over it.
“I dont want any more of the Bush clan in the White House.”
You don’t any more blue blood, corporate toady, country club conservatives who are for a kinder, gentler or compassionate conservatism?
What’s wrong with you! /s
Yep, ole Jeb can now sit down in the peanut gallery cause that is the only place he will be watching in 2012.
Thanks. I must be one of the last holdouts hoping that Jeb would turn out to be something more than he is.
To me, this is a litmus test. Any politician who wants my respect had better be able to articulate why Arizona is right. Because they are right. Any politician who isn’t prepared to defend Arizona isn’t going to defend rule of law, they aren’t going to defend the constitutional republic, and they don’t have any business being in public life.
I have family in law enforcement who would tell me about having illegals in their jail that they would try to turn over to Immigration, and Immigration wouldn’t take them. They’d finally have to turn them loose.
In Maryland they wrote a loophole in the law for drivers licences for illegals (but not deadbeat Dads.) When RealID got passed at federal level, the Democrat governor proposed a special drivers license for those with no documentation.
Pandering at its finest. A special way to skirt the law at its finest.
