Obama administration encourages the very culture it deplores

Major policy changes can have long-term cultural implications. Major changes can impact behavior almost immediately, but the real cultural implications are a result of the often subtle changes in individual attitudes. With the Obama administration, I believe we will see such cultural changes.

I am an entrepreneur. I started with a little 100-seat restaurant almost 32 years ago. My wife and I, along with many good people, built our company the old-fashioned American way. We worked night and day,

“Avoid hard assets and employees”

Words of wisdom.

Don’t put up anything Obama can take from you.

>>Chumps unite!<<

Yep.

Like those of us who thought a “contract” bound both parties and meant you promised to repay money that was loaned to you. SUCKER!!

Like those of us who thought our domicile was where we live and is an anchor for our family and NOT a cash cow to be milked for all we can get and then to leave for someone else’s problem. SUCKER!!

Like those of us who scrimp and save and don’t buy anything until we could afford it, unlike people who habitually overdraft their bank accounts and their credit cards. They get the stuff, but to actually PAY?? Nope — those of us who think we should pay our debt are SUCKERS!!

The entire idea of personal responsibility and paying the debts (which are promises based on our integrity) we incurred — SUCKERS!!!

When I hear commercials where the glib hosts talk about “The Federal Government wants YOU to be debt-free! If you have $15,000 of credit card debt or $200,000 in Real Estate debt you can get PRINCIPLE REDUCTION”

Dumbasses like me pay our bills on time (or ahead) and honor our promises. For the amount agreed upon.

Clearly not the model this administration respects.

My name is FD2003 and I am a dumbass — a SUCKER!.

You can't take too small of salary (taxed as normal income + both halves of SS + both halves of Medicare) to shift the money to company profits (only income tax, or maybe the lower capital gains rate if you do it right). If you are John Edwards you can get away with it, but not the little people.

This all screams for a sane tax system where everyone pays the same rate either on all his income no matter the source, OR (definitely not AND) one rate on all his consumption no matter what he consumes or from where he got the money.

We can expect nothing less from an administration and congress based on corruption and crony capitalism.

The other side of it is the wrongheaded concept of ‘social justice’. The only real justice is free market justice: You screw up, you go down. In a competitive environment, an employer who screws over its employees to where it’s more like slavery than a livelyhood won’t have employees for very long. All the things these politician do in the name of ‘social justice’ creates the atmosphere for enterprise to take advantage of employees instead of preventing it.

Social justice is merely a term, or should I say a lie, made up to distract the public from the consequences of the marriage between enterprise and politics. Regulations succeed in doing only one thing: destroying price and labor competition which is wielded by the government at the behest of monied interests to prevent and supress competition. It is why we have these myriad of bureaucracies supposedly setting the rules of the road instead of having laws that say something like ‘if you do x, go to jail for y years’. They have nothing to do with keeping anyone safe, making anyone equal, or keeping anything clean. Take notice that it was only the smaller regulated banks and the investments banks that took the tumble and larger regulated banks that were bailed out.

And the public decries these people getting the largest raises in salary and bonuses of the entire “private” sector in ‘09 when not more than a year ago their companies were hittng the skids, and when the rules of deflation suggest they should be going in the opposite direction. But it makes perfect sense when one considers that a major portion of the competition was wiped out, and they don’t have any incentive to perform in an honest way like a boni fide business. They can name their own salaries and extract it from the system without the free market crap getting in the way. This doesn’t happen just in finance, but everywhere else in countless ways to tip the scale in favor of the big guys, consolidating industries and labor markets. This means that consumers, taxpayers, and people who hire out their labor get hosed — the exact opposite of what Obama says his ‘social justice’ will do.

So yeah, anyone who thinks they can start and run a successful business here without being harassed and slapped around by our dear leaders is indeed a chump.
