For those who haven't heard the news today........
Washington D.C., Apr 28, 2010 / 01:31 pm (CNA/EWTN News).- The Supreme Court ruled on Wednesday that a federal court overstepped its boundaries in ordering the removal of a long-standing memorial cross in California's Mojave Desert.
A white, seven-foot cross, which was erected as a memorial by the Veterans of Foreign Wars over 75 years ago in the Mojave National Preserve, will be allowed to stay.

It’s not over, it’s just been remanded for further consideration. I’m sure it will eventually work its way back to the Court, ending in a similar, although more permanent decision, assuming of course the balance of the Court doesn’t change before then.
Next they will want all the crosses removed from Arlington.

It is good news, but, when I saw this on TV today, I wondered, “How long before some leftist vandalizes it?”

I have no religion but I stand with EVERYONE who fought hard to keep the cross! Very well done!
It’s a very narrow decision, dealing with Congress’s attempt to remedy the problem by selling off the land to a private party. That’s about the only area where it’ll be precedent.
