The congress of the USA is full to the brim with treasonous rats.

The progressive party that’s pushing it in Puerto Rico sounds like a wing of the SEIU. They want social justice and their “fair share” of federal funds and programs.

The Obama regime may very well reach 57 by the time its work is done.

We need to find a new Anglo state to offset this. How about the Isle of Wight?

Its a Catholic Nation.

It will be a welcome addition to our conservative base.

Getting Puerto Ricans (and just who are they?) to agree to Statehood has always been difficult.

An easier deal would be to CARVE OUT A NEW STATE called "CHICAGO" from the existing state of Illinois.

Imagine that ~ Two new REPUBLICAN SENATORS!

I saw this tonight & it made me sick. The majority of people in that country don’t want it...but the new progressive party does. Hmmm, I guess that was just another piece to the puzzle that was put in place before puppet odumbo took the stage...

Now he thinks he’ll be able to have all those hispanic votes to keep him in office - no wonder he hasn’t let up on his tyranny!

Congress can’t make Puerto Rico a State unless the people of Puerto Rico ask to become a State. Watch the Democrats attempt to bribe Puerto Ricans.

the Puerto Rican people would be given the choice between remaining a U.S. territory and “pursuing a different political status.”

Why can't the rest of us (say, Texas) vote for “pursuing a different political status?”

Odd that our last civil war was also preceeded by years of the free state/slave state territorial games that are being recreated in the census, immigration reform, now statehood issues.

Why?

It’s called “Keeping Control of Congress.”

It’s called “2 more liberal Democrat Senators”.

It’s called “More liberal Democrat House Seats.”

If Puerto Rico had a conservative history, the Congress would be looking for a way to keep it from voting.

Why are we assuming they’d send Democrats to congress? Their current governor is a Republican and they are a very socially conservative, catholic place.

Just because they are Hispanic doesn’t mean they are liberal — just ask Rubio.
