The mother, pregnant for the first time, had opted for an abortion after prenatal scans revealed that the foetus had a cleft lip and palate This is one of the most treatable conditions. It's unconscienable that doctors would have agreed to terminate the pregnancy.

An example of a baby with a cleft lip. Can anyone imagine killing this beautiful child? My wife is 13 weeks pregnant. This story makes me VERY angry.

Good God! Cleft lip can be easily and nicely fixed by surgery! This is almost as bad as babies being aborted because they had the audacity to be female.

Why would someone abort for a cleft lip and palate? I have a first counsin who was born in 1969 with a double cleft lip and palate and they were able to fix it even way back then.
