Can anyone explain why a dinner nominally for White House Correspondents is attended by a collection of celebrity airbrains?

Other than for publicity, why would celebrities even want to go?

Because these celebritards need to stick their faces up O’s behind in order to appease their Dem politics. It’s not for enough for these Obama jock-sniffers like Spielberg to drool from afar..

Many "Correspondents/reporters" were insignificant wallflowers in their former life. A lot of them went into the professtion to A. Get Attention; B. So someone would listen to them; C. Low Self esteem.

Therefore, sucking up to the kenyan gives them a false air of being "somebody", and the gah-gah hero worshipers they are, will attend the dinner to rub shoulders with a few stars and big shots.

The stars and big shots come there for the photo opps...hey, a room full of reporters, TV cameras, news coverage, etc.

It's a birds of a feather, mutual admiration society sort of thing; if they were naked, it would be an orgy.

A. We don’t have any real reporters anymore, so they have open seats.

B. It is the job, if not genetic imperative of any celebrity to run - not walk - to their agent and demand seats at such a meeting, so their flagging careers can be propped up another year.

This is part of the celebrity food chain. If an actor has’nt gotten any good roles lately, their agents will get them onto some red carpet events, so people will see the shots on gossips sites, and go “Oh, I remember them!”, so when their next horrible movie or tv show or album comes out, we’ll all say “I remember them from that event. Okay, i’ll buy it!”.

Do they think we’re that dumb? Yes. Does it work? Yes. Most of the people in this country fall for that every day.

Besides, politicians and celebrities share the same DNA, that’s why they mix so well - they all pretend for a living, they’re not lying, they’re “acting”, and behind closed doors are the most corrupt, lazy, entitled, pompous, and self indulgent group of people on the planet.

Plus, they share the same plastic surgeons for botox and fake boobs and such.

Ok, I was at the Wash Hilton two weekends ago for an “event” and just as then, many women showed way too much flesh that night and the crowd was just as vacuous...DC was floatin’...I mean, Scarlt Johannson is delusional enough to think anyone takes her opinions seriously???? Sad...

OK, I wasted a few minutes of my life looking at the pictures. I’m happy to say I don’t know who most of those people are, and don’t care about any of them.

Left Wing celebs want to show support for the left wing when they can. Bush, however, had his share of entertainers go to his events. But it is obvious more celebs would show up for this since Hollyweird leans left.

The two things liberals seems to have cornered Hollywood and the Media come together. Fox News does have a table there. Not sure who went this year from Fox News Except Greta.
