I guess sitting around waiting for hair to grow is better than nothing.

Strange question:
So if crime was committed at the joint that collects the hair, would DNA eveidence still be of any use?
Know what I mean?
Imagine how many people’s DNA must be there.

The excess fur from my two cats ought to pretty well take care of the shorelines of Louisiana and Mississippi . . .

How ‘bout we dump shredded New York Times and WaPo papers on the oil slick? Plus a few thousand other traditional bird cage liners.

Or what if someone drops that DNA “evidence” at the scene of another crime?
DNA evidence should be used to add evidence TO a case, not build up the first round of suspects.

I’m a bit skeptical, but oil hair them out.

...during the nasty Exxon Valdez oil spill in 1989, a stylist down south was watching the coverage of animals covered in oil and had an "ah-ha" moment. He realized hair is absorbent as he had a client in the shampoo bowl...
The oil absorbency of human hair has been known to Jersey douchebags for years.
We should send a batallion of them to the Gulf to soak up the oil right away. It should take them less than a week.

Imagine how much oil could be soaked up if we deprived these douchebags of their hair gel for a week, let them dry out and air-dropped them into the Gulf of Mexico. They might drain the water levels by a couple feet also.
