Medical personel and police officers carry the body of a bank employee outside a torched branch of the Marfin-Egnatia Bank, where three employees died of asphyxiation after rioters allegedly through fire bombs inside the Bank during a demonstration against the new tough austerity measures of the government in Athens, Greece, 05 May 2010. Three people died on 05 May when a bank was set ablaze as tens of thousands of Greek demonstrators took to the streets to protest government austerity measures in exchange for an international bailout aimed at saving the country from bankruptcy. The bodies of two men and a woman were discovered inside the bank branch of Marfin, located in downtown Athens while at least 20 people were hospitalised with injuries. EPA/PANAGIOTIS MOSCHANDREOU

Greek following Thailand - seems to be a lot of anti-government out there.

And a nuclear level aversion to realistic economic policies.

That’s my take. I wonder how fast it will unfold. I mean, it has been unfolding for a while, but eventually we hit the almost vertical leg of the hyperbolic curve.

The world is out of money and its going to get ugly.I think the Greeks see it differently. There is plenty of money -- they just don't have it.

Well, we can't be sure, some possibilities.
Recreation. (Seriously.) Lefty street riots seem to be their only expression of testosterone. Unlike Marines taking on Faluga, lefties know the street riot Kabuki Theater vs Police.
Reactionary. The left are the conservatives now, in that they have been the main, common thought for a century. These trust fund like lefty youth inheritors don't really think, they just react with what has been indoctrinated into them.
Smart Politics. The Greek Government is, covertly, threatening to bring down the EU, as much as it can. Leftist street theater provides good TV for EU bureaucrats, Merkel, bond holders to say, "See, what will happen all over Europe, if you don't bail us out...er...um..the Greeks out?"
To bad the EU doesn't have a Gerald Ford.
