Israeli newspaper Yediot Achoronot is publishing an expose on Judge Richard Goldstone who headed up the UN's Goldstone commission on Israel's Cast Lead operation which accussed Israel of committing "war crimes".
The paper reveals that as a judge on South Africa's Transvaal Supreme Court from 1980 until he was appointed judge of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court in 1989, Goldstone enforced the draconian "emergency laws" of the Apartheid regime. The paper reports that in the 1980's Goldstone sentenced dozens of blacks to be hanged.
Goldstone responded to the report by saying, "Those were the rules, and I had to respect them."

Odd, the article doesn’t mention why they were hanged. Maybe they did something really bad?
Probably, Probably riotous murderers. But the point is that the guy is highly critical of Israeli efforts to defend herself against military attack,,,, used to PERSONALLY be in the business of hanging african blacks who only wanted self determination.
Maybe instead of hanging his opponents, he should have tried out the techniques he now seems to demand Israel use.

Of course it is. But you seem to be missing the point. When confronted with necklacing muderers, he took a far harsher course than israel does with mulim palestinan killers.
But now seems to think he gets to sit in judgement of a nation of laws doing reasonable things to protect their people. The paper outed him as a UN hypocrite.
Maybe Goldstone should have signed a treaty with the killers,, and ignored every murderous violation. After all,,, thats what he demands Israel to do.

I highly doubt most of the people Goldstone sentenced to hang are worthy of our sympathy. Indeed, many were ANC toughs, following directly or indirectly the radical orders of the Mandelas in a time when their first, last and ONLY line of “negotiation” was violence.
Israel, on the other hand, is simply playing the hand they’ve been dealt. This Goldstone character is standing in judgment of Israel for reacting in self defense — which is not unlike what his own South Africa did when he ordered the hangins. Although, I might add, contrary to the lame and pathetic claims of Jimmy Carter, Israel does NOT practice Apartheid — one of the reasons they have been so vulnerable to the attacks of the Palestinian Islamofascists.
GOldstone is condemning Israel for something he himself and his own nation practiced two decades ago. Hypocrisy — funded and supported by the UN. Who’da thunk it, right? Good show, Israel!
Firstly, the UN is but a gang of Turd World Despots and thieves, so almost anything they do is repellent to me.
Secondly, and far more important than my disapproval of the UN, is that dealing with Islam in any other way than raw, overpowering force is a waste of time amd money.
