the best private schools in the world have uniforms. For a reason- so do most public schools in other countries. Uniforms promote cohesion and group identity and professionalism. That is why most professionals wear uniforms.
School uniforms have helped to bring order and even pride to kids in our city elementary and middle schools. Grades and discipline have greatly improved. Teachers and most parents love it. The cost of school clothes to the parents has also gone way down and the principals don't have to spend time enforcing a dress code on bad or stupid or belligerent parents and kids who insist shanika and derrell don't have no other clothes to wear except tight shirts that don't fit and baggy pants.
Times have changed in the schools with the 3rd and 4th generation of the me- me-me generation and in certain communities, the entitled victim classes who go postal when anyone criticizes them or tells them what to do or tries to make them follow “white rules” about clothes selection. Just sayin - from personal experience.

It sounds like I arrived here shortly after you left. Things here really haven't changed all that much over that time.
I agree. Two of the kids were of hispanic background and they sure knew this was all BS. Of course, their relatives probably immigrated legally and are proud to be Americans.
Morgan Hill sounds like the name of an androgynous Country and Western singer, doesn't it? The type that you cannot tell whether the singer is a heifer or a bull by either their name or their appearance. . .

I should note, however, that the idea behind this proposal is to make declaring the illegal immigrants to be invaders and authorizing military (and both organized and unorganized militia) to respond.
If I were one of the parents involved here I would be demanding the job of the Vice-Principal and the Principal as well for their treasonous like behavior. If Mexicans want to celebrate their holiday then send all back to Mexico and let them have at it. This story just infuriates me.
