I cannot believe this is happening here in America. Where is the outrage? Is the ACLU going to come to the aid of these students?

Imagine, in Canada, Great Brittain, France or Japan, wearing your country’s flag emblems on the 4th of July and they send you home.
This is lunacy.

If it were a Polish holiday, would students be suspended for wearing an American flag Tee-shirt?

Referring to his shirt, student Dominic Maciel said, “I think it was disrespectful to my country, if I flip this inside out.” If the assistant principle finds the American flag offensive, he should stay home.

Could someone post the phone number of the school? I say we call them and sing “God Bless America”.

I really don’t care that Hispanic students were upset.

Sounds like most of the student body is probably hispanic including the American flag t-shirt guys judging by their last names. It’s a California government school after all.

This is crap. I teach my children to be proud Americans. That is what and who we are. I hope these kids sue that school out of existence. It is time to stop giving foreign countries political and practical prominence in our nation.

They should wear shirts with the picture of General Winfield Scott. The background should be Mexico City with the US Flag flying over it.

i warn those here 24-7 that demonizing Southern whites, Christopher Columbus etc leads smack down the road to demonizing any symbol associate with American whiteness.
good luck ya’ll, hope all that preening self righteous indignation will have been worth it for you after you scamper back to your hiding places again one day

This is one more degree on the little frog sitting in the water as it comes to a boil.... when will our citizen wake up and realize what is going on? I am seriously worried that nothing short of a total collapse or thousands of deaths will cause anyone to pay attention to this danger on our borders....

This is an absolute OUTRAGE.
If I lived there, I would gather every Tea Partier and 9/12 groups I could find to protest at the District Administration Offices. These are the kinds of things we MUST take immediate action against. Those kids were patriots and NEED our support!

But then Dariano said the assistant principal told all him and all his friends to take off their shirts, or turn them inside out, because some Hispanic students were upset and the school feared it would start a fight
I no longer recognize the country I am living in.

If I was the mother of any of those boys, I would enlist every other American parent to show up with signs about Freedom of Speech at that school, and stay for at least one full day.If any of the boys is suspended or kicked out, a tremendous law suit would ensue!

Requesting that any student remove articles of clothing smacks of some type of sexual abuse\perversion. The assistant principal should be charged with a sex crime
In any case, charging him thusly would force him to further state the REAL reason for his request.
If they want to make a big deal out of this, I say, let’s do it...

I heard on the news this morning that the school district has sided with the students and released a statement denouncing the principal’s decision.
