On what evidence?
I’m not so sure this bunch could overthrow a mouse trap.
Well, they’re an entertaining looking bunch, ay?
Judging by their mug shots, it doesn’t seem as though a lot of thinking is going on in their noggins.
From the looks of them, overthrowing the US Govt might be a stretch. Then again, take a look at who is running the US Govt.
They need more time to manufacture something.
To the Supremes!
Looks like casting call for DELIVERENCE.......
With no evidence, this administration WILL make sure that the fact that there is NOTHING here,
will be d-r-a-g-e-d o-u-t past, uh, lets see, oh, I know, November.
That’s it, November.
I can see the argument to the judge already:
Uh....your honor, here’s the thing. This was an order that came down from the White House, they wanted to send a message to the Tea Party people. Shortly after the White House launched it’s media campaign painting the Tea Partiers as violent they asked us to sweep in and hogtie these hillbilly freaks.
I’m sorry for all the confusion but it’s our first time framing anyone and we TOTALLY screwed it up! If they’re released for a lack of evidence some people may start to ask “why” they were arrested. We don’t have any explanation yet except to say “the White House asked us to arrest some white folks with guns.”
You’ve got that right!!!
They are going to make sure that this people, who probably did nothing, locked up as long as possible, and play their media game as long as they can.
from the article
The members of the southern Michigan militia, called Hutaree, are charged with conspiracy to commit sedition, or rebellion, against the government and the attempted use of weapons of mass destruction. They have been in custody without bond since late March
Sedition is going to be one tough charge to support as it is my current understanding that all the sedition laws have been pulled off the books.
Attempted use of weapons of mass destruction? Umm, that is questionable as it depends on if they ever actually assembled anything, much less placed it anywhere with the intent of actually setting it off.
With the mentality of some LEO these days a weapon of mass destruction could consist of a double order of tacos and a pint of milk qualifying as the components and the resulting gas release indoors would count as the attempt.
Are the government prosecutors desperate to make this work despite the general lack of hard evidence indicating the sedition existed? Oh hell yea.
.
Iraq had an army with tanks, jets and artillery and they had no WMD, so I assume this “weapon of mass destruction” is more powerful than anything Saddam had.
They look like your average everyday members of the democrat base to me.
Evidence??? Hah!
Amateur.
What kind of dictatorship cares about evidence?
