On May 5, five students at Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill, Calif., were sent home for wearing clothing featuring the American flag. Their offense: trespassing on Mexican heritage during Cinco de Mayo. Administrators called the flag-wearing "incendiary" and likely to cause violence. The school district overrode the decision, and the boys were allowed to return to school. In response yesterday, about 200 students staged a walkout carrying Mexican flags. The question is: Who taught these kids to hate America so much?

What a disgrace. This country is headed towards a place and time that I dare not even think about. As an American of Cuban descent, I am sick to my stomach that this great and generous country has been overrun by this trash. If wearing a t-shirt with the American flag is likely to cause violence, the school administration is not doing its job. If any clothing is likely to cause violence, the principal should be fired. Disgust with a pro-Osama or pro-Obama shirt? Yep. But violence even over a “Hope/Change” shirt? No way. And over a pro-America shirt? They should be ashamed of themselves for making such a pathetic claim and for permitting an environment in which the thought would cross their tiny little minds.

While the high school's administrators may have been responding to a real public-safety threat, that threat was the product of their failure to instill a sense of national pride in their students.

The school's failure is a minor part of the problem. The real problem starts at home.

So they marched in protest of the American boys being allowed to return to school? What would have satisfied them? Never letting the boys back? Lining them up in front of a firing squad? All this over FLAG shirts! The sheer arrogance of the illegals, their anchor brats, and their advocates is infuriating. They've been so coddled, now they think they can tell us what to wear and who should be allowed back in school. This is outrageous. It's way past time to take our country back.
