'Talks doomed due to Arafat's legacy'

Israeli-Palestinian negotiations are doomed to hit a brick wall because no Palestinian leader will accept anything less than what Yasser Arafat rejected at Camp David 10 years ago, and no Jewish prime minister will offer anything more, Vice Premier and Regional Development Minister Silvan Shalom said Thursday in an interview with The Jerusalem Post.

“No matter what we do, I do not see a Palestinian leader who is willing to accept what Arafat rejected, and I don’t see a Jewish prime minister who can give more than what [Ehud] Barak offered. Therefore, I see it as a dead end,” he said.

Thank you Jimmah

Like most things (enlightened, ever so peaceful) Liberals do, in their efforts to “fix” the world, they just make wars, famine, misery, and generally just screw things up.

Are they talking about Nobel Peace Prize winner Arafat here?

The same “prize” bestowed on Obama and alGore?

That group really has a way of picking winners.

about the time of Isaac and Ishmael.

about the time of Isaac and Ishmael.

You are right and if the fools think anything is going to change short of a miracle from God they are fools.

The answer to all this was given to the Jews by G-D.
God told them exactly what to do and, exactly what would happen if they didn't do it.

However, Lib Jews thought they knew better than G-D. They really did. We are going to do it OUR way. It is so much better (enlightened) than what what that stupid old G-D said.

We'll so him how things really work.

The biggest irony is that they purportedly believe that G-D gave them the land, but, at the same time, feel that they have no obligation to acknowledge, obey, or respect his authority.

And that brings us to this current situation.

Yes, we learned that when the same deal, 95% plus of the West Bank and East Jerusalem was made in 2008, with the addition of a corridor connecting the West Bank to the terrorists in Gaza. Not what they're looking for, our President needs to deliver Tel Aviv.

Here’s an offer that might work. Bibi gets on Arutz 2 or Arutz 7, or al Jazeera, even, and says:

“We have offered all we intend to offer to the Palestinian Authority and Hamas. Henceforth, all previous offers to these entities are withdrawn, and instead we make the following offer to the Palestinian People. We promise to annex Judah and Shomron. All Palestinians presently living in this region will be granted full citizenship on one condition. Here is a complete list of all Fatah and Hamas leaders that we want dead. Kill them. They are either utterly corrupt or utterly crazy, or both. They do you no good. Deliver proof that they are dead (heads and one of their hands will suffice), and when the entire list is snuffed, we’ll commence unifying the country. Regions with a preponderance of Arabs will be granted autonomy over local affairs, provided that they respect the rights of all non-Arabs and non-Muslims living in and passing through their region. The national government will investigate any breaches of those rights, and enforce those rights as well.”

“Henceforth, anyone who commits murder, other than against this list of individuals, will die before a firing squad and have his corpse wrapped in pig skin. Henceforth, all new members of the IDF, whether Jew, Druze, Bedouin, Christian or Muslim, will have to swear allegiance to the State of Israel before being inducted. Henceforth, Israel officially resigns from the United Nations, effective immediately.”

“Let me just say to the Palestinians that I know we have had some differences. We are Jews. You are Muslims. But our return to the Land of Israel was foretold both in your Quran and in our Bible. Those that wished to wipe our tiny country off the map are therefore in effect enemies of the word of Muhammad, and enemies of the One G-d, Creator of Heaven and Earth, Whom we both revere, although we call Him by different names. We also both practice male circumcision and abhor the flesh of swine, and are descendants of the patriarch whom we call Avraham and you call Ibrahim. We have also both lived side by side for thousands of years. Our co-existence has not always been peaceful, and has hardly ever been pleasant. But while neighbors and cousins might squabble and feud, they do not cease being neighbors and cousins because of this. We are both members of the Semitic family. We both know that our lot is usually difficult, but always unique. Let us continue to co-exist. We’ll make it worth your while. Instead of suicide vests and AK-47s, we will equip your children with a future, complete with school books and jobs. We will respect your way of life. All that we require in return is that you respect our lives and rights as well.”

“Oh, and next time we’re forced to go into Gaza, we’re staying and making the same offer over there. Dittos for Lebanon, only we’ll include Hizbollah leadership on our hit list.”

Of course they’ll never go for it, but at least we’ll have resigned from the UN and we’ll be shooting and wrapping all murderers in pig skin.

If only....
Way back when they fired on the Alta Lena and the left managed to amass all the power unto itself, there was the course set in stone for the new State of Israel that it has never fully recovered from.
Otherwise Peres would never occupy any space in Israel except a jail cell. That he even DARED to offer up the Golan this late in his dastardly life makes me sick.

Give Labour some credit. They did manage to institute a brand of socialism that’s less soul-numbing than the usual sort, and they did manage to win the six-day war. OK. Now they’ve got all the credit they deserve. Can’t claim any more. So now that that’s out of the way, I can safely say that other than that, the Left in Israel sucks old football cleats.
