New Obama book by Newsweek senior editor Jonathan Alter airs private flares of temper
New York Daily News ^ | May 5, 2010 | David Saltonstall

President Obama may cultivate an image as the unflappable Mr. Cool, but he can get hot under the collar too, according to a new book.

In "The Promise: President Obama, Year One," by Newsweek senior editor Jonathan Alter, the author recounts a series of private blow-ups - including a particularly fiery one involving the nation's top military brass.

"A presidential dressing down unlike any in the United States in more than half a century," is how Alter describes the October 2009 eruption.

But it's often the flashes of anger, not amour, that shine through Alter's tome, including:

"No! No! You're making that up!" he shouted at aide David Axelrod, grabbing him by the shirt. "That can't be right."

Anyone remotely paying attention to this man can see he has a temper and becomes unglued easily.

Alter is just trying to be credited with ‘revealing’ this trait.

Can’t ya see?

Zero is a low life from Kenya, indonesia, and at the end Frank Davis and his bisexual marijuana and cocaine fueled Communist recruitment parties for 8 long years which he joined and liked.

Mr. President “are you high?”

Seemed giggly high to me

That’s just before he screams at OUR generals.

This is a very bitter and dangerous man. He is driven by inner demons that he has no desire to exorcise. And he will not be satisfied until he has brutally punished those he thinks are responsible for his own deep-seated self-loathing: white people. You can’t grow hating your white blood — in his case, half of his very being — without becoming seriously demented.

I'm halfway through the Manchurian President. I've been paying attention so knew a lot of this (Patriot's Flag - Moretti Post). But as I read, the REAL culprit of what happened to us is not Obama ... he is what he is and is a product of what he was. Anyone who was paying attention could see this was all a set up. But the culprit was the NEWS MEDIA that amazingly did not do their jobs. That is what comes out SO STRONGLY in this new book. I like the way it is written. The book discussed on this thread is my next one.

“becomes unglued easily.

This is something I too have inferred from his demeanor and often very cutting language: there is an ANGRY man beneath the surface. What astonishes me is that it’s take this long for the MSM to acknowledge and report on this.

Alter’s book may unleash a flood of leaks by aggrieved individuals who recognize the bloom is off the rose: “many of the White House reporters who cover Obama greatly resent the way they are treated by the Obama administration.” http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/tobyharnden/100034349/white-house-press-corps-turns-on-barack-obama/

Hell hath no fury like a media scorned...(and just in time for the upcoming elections: yee haaaaaaah!).

Some of us have been point to this as his acheles heal...you just got to keep getting to him and eventually he will unravel in one not to be missed super nova. Of course, just like with any other nuke, the fallout will be dangerous but in his case it will be for the better good. Anything that gets this asshat out of the Oval office will be for the best regardless of the short term harm he will cause as he becomes the incredible shrinking man. Rush is in his head but he is not a sufficent force to unglue him. The Tea Party more so especially if they are able to remove his strangle hold on the political process of this country.
Of course, the absent media could really do it...they managed to devolve the Nixon Presidency in about two years of constant lying an probing. It has to be played on TV or the iron heads in this country will be in the dark just like today.

Alter recounts how Bruni once bragged to First Lady Michelle Obama how she and French President Nicholas Sarkozy kept a head of state waiting while they had sex.

"Bruni wanted to know if, like the Sarkozys, Michelle and the President had ever kept anyone waiting that way," Alter writes, offering no source. "Michelle laughed nervously and said no."

LOL, of this I have no doubt. Now whether Obama and his "body man" have ever done this is a different story.

When you see vast inconsistency in the demeanor of a person like this you should be troubled - President Joe Cool VS. Mr Hyde.

He has big-time Anger Management issues, and for a person with so much power that could be an extremely dangerous thing.

if he ever sees fit to fly off the handle then we will be the ones facing the repercussions of his unbalanced fit of rage.

IMO - America has NO IDEA what they have sitting in its seat of total power in this country...NO IDEA.

I wish to politely disagree with you as regards the media “did not do their jobs.” IMHO, their job was TO GET BOH elected and this they accomplished by not doing the job you wish they had done.

The MSM, “drive by media”, is very far left and doing their part to seduce certain segments of the American population that “redistribution” is the way to go. The 2010 and 2012 elections will determine the outcome of their perverted, anti-American bias and thinking.

Please do a google on “The Frankfurt School + Critical Theory” to see how the seeds of this liberal crap were planted in our country by a small group of German communist jews.

It is no longer easy to “Have a good day”.....

Yes, I agree. I think one of the reasons he's kept out of sight by his handlers, to the extent that they can manage it, is that this becomes glaringly apparently when he is involved in any sort of public exchange or even commentary.

The real reason he can't have press conferences is that people would probably be clamoring to have him removed from office on grounds of insanity after the first 15 minutes.

“This was a cold and bracing meeting,” an attendee said of the encounter, where Obama demanded to know “here and now” if the Pentagon would be onboard with any presidential strategy.

It apparently worked: Petraeus later described himself as “chagrined,” and both he and Gates “swore loyalty” to the President. Obama eventually supported a troop buildup.

They swore loyalty to Obama?? Funny, I thought they already swore loyalty to the Constitution, and agreed to follow the orders of the President....

What this really means is that liberal journalists are finally revealing traits and events that should have been revealed on the campaign trail had they been honest professionals. Just like the book, “Gamechanger”, they withheld blockbuster remarks to protect the Democratic ticket and party, and then reported them a year later to sell books.

This is further evidence of corrupt journalism.

You are atribbuting a human failing and sin and weakness of character to God...

Jesus never lost His temper...

Jesus is God...

He never sinned...

That day Jesus was angry but He never sinned...

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet was without sin. Hebrews 4:15

For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:21

He was angry with righteous indignation but he did not sin...He did not lose his temper...

There is no mention of Him losing his temper in the Christian Bible...

Jesus entered the temple area and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves “It is written,” he said to them, “’My house will be called a house of prayer,’ but you are making it a ‘den of robbers.’” Matthew 21:12, 13

Then they came to Jerusalem. And He entered the temple and began to drive out those who were buying and selling in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who were selling doves; and He would not permit anyone to carry merchandise through the temple. And He began to teach and say to them, “Is it not written, ‘MY HOUSE SHALL BE CALLED A HOUSE OF PRAYER FOR ALL THE NATIONS ‘? But you have made it a ROBBERS’ DEN.” The chief priests and the scribes heard this, and began seeking how to destroy Him; for they were afraid of Him, for the whole crowd was astonished at His teaching. Mark 11:15-18

Jesus entered the temple and began to drive out those who were selling, saying to them, “It is written, ‘AND MY HOUSE SHALL BE A HOUSE OF PRAYER,’ but you have made it a ROBBERS’ DEN.” Luke 19:45, 46

In the temple courts he found men selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money. So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple area, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. To those who sold doves he said, “Get these out of here! How dare you turn my Father’s house into a marketplace!” His disciples remembered that it is written: “Zeal for your house will consume me.” Then the Jews demanded of him, “What miraculous sign can you show us to prove your authority to do all this?” Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.” John 2:14-19

And we are told to be angry, but not to sin...

Be angry and do not sin; Ephesians 4:26

THe Geneva Bible

15) He teaches us how to bridle our anger in such a way that, even though our anger is fierce, yet it does not break out, and that it is without delay quenched before we sleep. And this is so that Satan may not take occasion to give us evil counsel through the wicked counsellor, and destroy us.

According to the bible, He overturned tables and said that the businessmen were robbers. So, if moneychangers and merchants are akin to those who commit robberies.....
