GREENVILLE, S.C. -- A Greenville church administrator is accused of having sex with a 14-year-old girl while the teen was a guest in his home last year.
Dantae Stukes, 29, is charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor. The arrest warrant states that between March 1 and May 30, 2009, Stukes convinced the victim to "allow him to engage in sexual intercourse with her in an effort for him to show her what to expect from her boyfriend in the future."
Sgt. Jason Rampey with the Greenville Police Department said the teenager was staying with the Stukes family while her parents were out of town.
"At the time that this happened, she was 14 years of age and that is not the age of consent," Rampey said.
Rampey said the teenager waited nearly a year to report what happened to police.
"In many cases, as in this case, when something like this happens, the victim thinks that they've done something wrong and they are afraid to speak to their parents or teachers or guardian about that," he said.
Last month, on April 13, the teen was at the emergency room for an unrelated incident. That's when police say she reported the sexual assault involving Stukes.
"It's very serious when you think of a person who is a custodian, a person of authority that you entrust your child to stay with in their home," Rampey told WYFF. "It's very concerning that this person would take advantage of this victim."
Greenville attorney Karl Allen is representing Stukes. Allen issued this statement to WYFF:
"Mr. Stukes is an upstanding citizen. The allegations, in our opinion, are not credible and are very old. He looks forward to demonstrating his innocence in a court of law."

But the name, I would say that he is black. By the fact that they didn’t mention the church, I can accurately guess that it is one like Rev. Wright’s “God —— America!” church.
Uh oh. This happened more then a year ago, so no physical evidence. If there is nothing more then her story, then it becomes a ‘he said, she said’ type case. If he has a clean record, this is gonna be tough for a jury to get right.

When I was in high school, my friend’s bro tried to have “practice sex” with her, so he’d know what to do on a real girl.
She said no but repeated that story like it was ok.
You people make me sick. If he did it, hit him with everything; but as of now, he is innocent until proven guilty. If he gets off the hook on some technicality, then he is still guilty; but there have been many cases when the accuser is not telling the truth.

FYI: You are whining in the wrong order. You are supposed to say “if only the church leader could marry....” before you whine about the disparity of coverage this might have gotten if it were a Catholic priest.
Of course, one could ask that you first indicate that you are repulsed by the actual act of a trusted adult molesting a minor before you worry if someone, somewhere is having impure anti-Catholic thoughts or intent, but hey, whatever you are into.

I’m glad you get the point that it is more relevant that what the guy did is disgusting, rather than whether or not he was a Catholic priest and everyone surrounding the reporting of the story is Anti-Catholic.
Not a lot because the Catholic church would have hidden the issue by moving the priest around between parishes, and it would have been suppressed for 20 years at which time it would have been dismissed as "old news"...
How about we wait to string him up after he is proven guilty.

I hope it always remains hard to prove any crime in this country , but lack of fresh complaint when dealing with a molested child is not going to make this case much harder . It is with good reason limitations of actions for these crimes have been enlarged in some states to seek justice years after the victims reach majority .

Maybe it’ll be hard to get a conviction. But if he left an electronic trail, perhaps requesting more “practice” or something else like priors, it’s not going to be too hard at all to prove that he did something.
We’ll see....but I doubt anyone will feel comfortable having him alone with their teenage daughters.
Of course not...but by that same token, if I was the father of one of the girl's friends, she wouldn't be sleeping over for a slumber party until this matter was cleared up. It wouldn't be the first time an adolescent leveled a false charge at an adult...for whatever reason.

Either way, the accusation, alone, is enough to condemn the preacher and ruin his ministry. Given today's saturation of violence and sex, I would say the chances of guilt are about 50/50.

He's not a preacher. He doesn't have a ministry. The article mentions he's a church "administrator", i.e. probably clerical staff. The headline exaggerates further, calling him a church "leader". However, the article makes no mention of of what church/organization he's an administrator/leader in, or even how either vocation relates to the accusation. The alleged crimes took place in his home!
The whole church angle seems put there purely for sensationalism, because fewer people get excited about hearing how a used car salesman seduced an underage girl.

I think if he’d realized there was a “practice” defense,he might have resorted to that explanation instead. To all appearances, the man had a great deal of practice sex outside of his marriage. Maybe it was all in the interests of being ready in case Hillary ever expressed an interest.
