Oprah has her “O” magazine and Obama has his “Newsweek”, but at least Oprah pays to put out her personal propaganda house organ.... Obama get his for free

All flap-ear, all the time. Failure can’t come soon enough to these pathetic excuses for “news” publications.
To: ianschwartz
Well, Jon-boy, if “it isn’t a readership issue” and if “it isn’t an advertiser issue” then just WTF issue is it, huh?

KURTZ: But as you move more toward opinion, I believe that Newsweek came to be seen as more liberal, you started running more liberal columnists. Ive lost track of the number of Barack Obama covers, Michelle Obama covers, could that have limited your appeal in the marketplace?
MEACHAM: I dont think so because again it is not a readership issue and no advertiser, to my knowledge, ever pitched up and said, you know, Im not going to advertise because you put the first African-American president in history on the cover or that we were too liberal. There is no greater fool than one who will never learn.

Yes, they kept sending me copies on my ex-husband’s subscription! For about a year. Once I tried telling them I had never paid for a subscription and didn’t want their magazine and they kept on seending it for a solid year.
so they were lying to their advertisers.

This is so wierd. That baby Stanley Ann Durham is holding just doesn’t look like Obama.
It’s the same as the photo of Obama that the Japanese-American guy in the Honolulu Star published showing himself and childhood friend Obama in third grade in Hawaii.
There was a long thread about whether the child in that Star photo was Obama. I was doubtful.
But now I see that the child in the Star photo looked just like the baby that Durham is holding.
But I don’t think either of them look like Obama as he is now, so I guess I am just not good at matching up faces or something. They HAVE to be the same child.

Newsweak has ALWAYS been a Democrat mouthpiece. And I'm talking since at least 1974 when my college roommate used to bring the thing back to the apartment every week. That magazine was a joke even then. Worse now? How could it be?
To: smalltownslick
Absolutely. Obama has a kind of diamond-shaped face. that baby has a large forehead, a sort of bulbous top-of-the head. Let us say a long oval face.
Also, a different tooth pattern.
What the hell is going on here?
