The European Union and the International Monetary Fund to the rescue! The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) soars and investors breathe a sign of relief. But where's this $1 trillion in bailout funds for Greece coming from?
On CNBC's May 10 "Squawk Box," host Joe Kernen channeled Rick Santelli's anti-bailout populism, suggesting it was important to note that this bailout was made possible in part by the American taxpayer.
"On one thing, Rick - because you started the whole thing where you said, ‘Are you listening, President Obama?' about paying for your neighbor's mortgage," Kernen said. "Are you, could you really tell the American taxpayer, you can connect the dots between them and Greece? I mean are they paying for some lavish benefits in Greece right now?"

Many of us realize what is going on. We are waiting until November...don’t fool yourself into thinking we’ll forget.
It is only a $100B right now..so it is small potatoes. Just another AIG or Fannie Mae..no biggy.
What they also aren’t jumping up and down about it that it won’t work. It is just kicking the can down the raod and when it comes back it will be worse and no country will have borrowing power to get out of it.
I really think they are planning on inflation curing the debt issue.
I’ve been saying all along that we would pay for some of it.

Obama has anesthetized us into counting in terms of trillions. In the context of Obama’s increasing the deficit by about $9T over the next 10 years and $107T unfunded liabilities for SS and Medicare, what’s another $50B? It’s literally rounding error in the grand scheme of things.

Yeah, what the hell is CNBC smoking? It’s the stupid Obama voters that don’t realize it. Obama voters don’t even have a basic understanding of monetary policy and all the other BS like THIS that goes along with it. Heck, a lot of them didn’t even know which party controlled Congress during the 2008 elections—you think they even have a clue about whats going on in Greece?

I don't bother phoning my elected idiots in Washington anymore. I've turned my energy to making them unemployed. There is no reasoning with the likes of Arlen Specter. He and his cohort must go.
