Did the Tea Partiers Overstep in Maine?

Perhaps the Republicans could have talked to the Tea Partiers ahead of time, read the platform and come up with some sort of compromise. But they didn’t. Instead, the delegates adopted a platform written by folks who, to put it bluntly, aren’t experts in politics. I’m not knocking the Tea Partiers in Maine. I’m knocking the Republican Party for failing to work with them and adopting a platform that would be palatable to both the Tea Party movement and the general public.

Fair warning to the TP movement to not be claimed or hijacked by the likes of Ron Paulistas.

The elitists on both sides need to understand, the Tea Party movement IS the general public!

Ron Paul is the one politician closest to the Tea Partiers. Not all Tea Partiers agree with everything Ron Paul believes, but on quite a few issues, it’s Ron Paul and the Tea Partiers vs. quite a few RINOs.

And the Maine GOP Platform wasn’t 100% Ron Paul - see “jihad”. That wouldn’t have come from the Ron Paul supporters in Knox County.

Maybe this is why the Lonely Republican is lonely! What makes him/her think it isn’t palatable with the public?

The dripping, oozing, acid RINO conterattack begins, like one of those 50's scifi movies where the slime is eating through all the girders as it drops to the next level down and continues to eat away... only with RINOs it's their continuous fear, uncertainty and doubt campaign against clarity and determination.

Not on this planet. Ron Paul is an anti military fruitloop and nine eleven truther.

Aside from his opposition to taxation he is closest to Code Pink.
