I wonder if you just heard Rose insisting that Hillary made "ice cream" comment ("but now suddenly if you don’t have your papers and you took your kid out to get ice cream, you’re going to be harassed.") They went to commercial and came back and she was STILL ridiculing Hillary for making the comment about taking the kids out for ice cream. Amazing.

She was totally wrong. Jim tried to tell her it was Obama who said it, but she insisted on saying it was Hillary. Rose even asked, "Is Hillary that stupid???" What a Christian that Rose is. /s

____

Here is the real quote:

The president said, “you can try to make it really tough on people who look like they, quote, unquote look like illegal immigrants. One of the things that the law says is that local officials are allow to ask somebody who they have a suspicion might be an illegal immigrant for their papers — but you can imagine if you are a Hispanic American in Arizona, your great, great grandparents may have been there before Arizona was even a state. But now suddenly if you don’t have your papers and you took your kid out to get ice cream, you’re going to be harassed, that’s something that could potentially happen.

This is why Rose is NOT my favorite. She says things that are very untrue, she says them cruelly and adamantly ...... and that is bad for a very excellent show. (I thought Tuesdays were one of Rose's off days.)

FWIW I'm STILL a Rosebud, LOL!

Since you are one of Quinn's buds, do you know the story about him, his neighbor that he didn't get along with and his neighbor's lawn?

Funny as all get out!

I'm not a "bud". I said we were acquaintances.

I am not familiar with that story. Fill me in ..... if you have time.

I personally like his stories about his butcher at the grocery store. He's very funny.

lol

Wish we could do that this year. I think we'll have to settle for a Topsey Turvy or something...sigh.

Good morning...hope Mr S is doing well. Crazy morning yesterday (not enough vehicles now that college son is back)...and today is easier because its my day off (and wheel less).

I had to laugh at Jim’s should 84 Lumber have stopped at 83? I have heard that joke (83 as you didn’t measure twice before you cut once...)

Don't have the time for that one but here's one although I'm a bit fuzzy on it. THere was a Tom Petty concert a a decade or so ago and all the radio jocks were invited to a VIP tent to party with Petty and the band. My wife and I went along with another jock from our station. We were with Mike Pintak, Quinn, Ron Antill (who is now my PD),and a bunch of others. Up until then my wife hadn't been to many things like that.

IIRC Jim got up first to go to the buffet. Then it was Pintak, my and the other jock from my station.

EVERYBODY going to the buffet was carrying huge bags EXCEPT for my wife. It was either teh guy from my station's wife or Pintaks who asked my wife where her bag was.

SHe didn't have a clue UNTIL she saw Quinn and the others SHOVELING food from the buffet into their bags! Pintak turned to my wife and laughed telling her that if you are in radio, you ALWAYS do stuff like that and the next time to come prepared!

Going to have to run... I'll check in at home.

Something I needed to say before I go to work. After all, I am, like all of you, a hard-working American who doesn’t need - or want - the government taking care of me and mine.

I started this thread during the 2008 election when we needed the wisdom of Quinn and, yes, Rose, to be shared with more people. They were saying things that most other conservative talk show hosts were not. Things that needed to be discussed. There was active, lively discussion We are kind of laying low now, but we’ll heat up again as it gets closer to November. Winning those elections is imperative.

I’ve received some criticism for our thread not being focused, but I see us as the people who meet in the tavern every morning to share ale and good banter. We are serious about our love for our country and are congnizent of the great benefits that we have gained from living here. We listen to the wisdom of others in the pub and raise a glass in agreement. We don’t always comment, but nod our heads as we listen. And all are welcome who wish to take part in the conversation - or not.

I believe we have created a warm, friendly place every morning to meet. As we get closer to November, the discussions will get more animated and we will all be more vocal. I love the slogan I’ve seen on a sign “I can see November from my house”.

That said; have a great day. And let us raise a glass - to FREEDOM. And to those like Quinn AND Rose who are using their microphones to keep us informed and sound the alarm.

Very well said, sneakers. I’ve learned a lot from lurking and/or posting on the Q&R thread, and have enjoyed the camaraderie and “local” flavor of the thread, regardless of whether it is focused on policy or issues 100% of the time.

Thank you for making this forum available to us every day.

MEGADITTOS!

And let's not forget...

We're working to roll back decades of governmental largesse, to root out political fraud and corruption, and to champion causes which further conservatism in America. And we always have fun doing it. Hoo-yah!

I'll be leaving in a few minutes to pick it up. Hope it's packed well!

Gosh I was trying to listen on the walk home but the threat of rain made me hurry and the ear buds kept falling out, LOL!

Did you hear JIm ad Rose pointing out Hussein LYING about not being able to operate info devices like an IPAD and such?

WHY doesn't some MSM reporter confront him? Oh wait...I forgot...MSM!
