We just had a HUGE power hit. The worst I've been through in residential. At the stations I've seen St Elmo's Fire dance across my board so that was way worse.
Thing is I was just about to check my blood pressure with a battery operated device, so it had nothing to do with the power hit.
BUT when I took it about 15 minutes later it was WAY up from the usual 139/90 to around 153/109.
Isn't that bad?
Sorry to sound stupid but when it comes to my health I'm not exactly on top of things.
Once I was home alone and had chest pains. I was sweating and my left arm hurt. Soooo...I went to The Local Watering Hole because there was a friend who had been through stuff and I thought he could tell me. By that time my oldest boy was ther and he called my wife who then called 911 and they MADE me got to the hospital. I felt fine by then but they kept me for a couple of days to check me out.
Turns out is was a gas bubble. Thousands of dollars wasted, but they did say I should keep a close watch on my blood pressure.
I've been doing that but this is the highest it's been and seems to have gone up pretty fast.
I'm wondering if I should tell the wife. I feel fine but the power hit did get my heart going. Probably it's nothing.
BTW A friend took me to get the Pfaltzgraf. 3 BIG tubs! So much I can't unpack. We're going to have to find a place to keep the "overage!"

I shouldn’t be posting now (just got out of a meeting), and I’m ashamed to say I don’t know what is ‘good’ or ‘bad’ blood pressure. But my opinion? I think you should play it safe and see a doctor. If your blood pressure goes up that fast, it can’t be good! Maybe it’s stress, but you shouldn’t take a chance. DO IT! And please report back to me to tell me you’ve made an appointment!
I see now, firsthand, how fast an otherwise healthy person can go downhill. I couldn’t stand to see one of my morning Q&R friends have a stroke or heart attack!
And YES! Tell your wife! She needs to know.

Now listen dude. I have a great deal of love for the 'Quinn in The Morning Show'. If it is diminished by anything at all, I feel that it is wise to bring it up and correct it. I HAVE.
Again .......... listen, you seemingly touchy fellow. I have spoken to Jim more than once over the years about Rose's participation on the show.
Among other things, I have mentioned to him that the old "Burns and Allen" tv relationship worked extremely well for him and Rose. HE AGREED COMPLETELY. However he said that Rose did not necessarily wish to play that role.
I also have had many other conversations about her role on the show with him, but it would be better for Rose and all the feint-hearted (like you) if we spoke about that privately.
But for now ...... SAVE your sick, poorly directed, and weak-kneed, "Why don’t you shut up??????? and stay off my thread you punk!!!!" for your family members.
I'm sure you, Greg, would not want to say that to me or any other man face to face.
Save your acrimony ....... especially when you are dead wrong on the facts.

I only point out Rose's very serious ongoing errors on the show because it makes Jim look like a fool. It makes this conservative talk show look less than wise. Jim sat there and corrected her on the facts before they went into the break. She kept loudly insisting that she was right about Hillary saying the "ice cream" comment.
Then she built on her complete arrogance and stupidity by coming back out of the break insisting that Hillary made the comment. Jim sat there and was dumbfounded. He tried to say nothing and did not ... but he knew she was completely wrong.
How smart does she make conservatives look when she flails away at Hillary for saying something that she absolutely DID NOT????
You are waaaaay off base telling me to shut up (but I do love you, Greg).
Facts are facts and conservatives should care about that. God knows that the liberal MSM will alter our word even when we don't tell the complete truth.

One more thing folks: I came on this thread a while back because of my love of the show. If any or all of you don't want me to notice the weaknesses of anyone on the show ...... I will split. I care about my country a hell of a lot more than this thread.

I forgot to tell you. As I was driving down to Shadyside one night last week, I listened to the podcast of your show. I had to use headphones. Our truck has a poor seal around the door and the wind sound is loud!
It was the show with Bill Russell. Wow! One of your best! and it made the trip down there so much more pleasant!
