Investigators: Obama using Connecticut Soc. Sec. Number

9:57 pm Eastern

Two private investigators working independently are asking why President Obama is using a Social Security number set aside for applicants in Connecticut while there is no record he ever had a mailing address in the state.

The investigators believe Obama needs to explain why he is using a Social Security number reserved for Connecticut applicants that was issued at a date later than he is known to have held employment.

The Social Security website confirms the first three numbers in his ID are reserved for applicants with Connecticut addresses, 040-049.

"Since 1973, Social Security numbers have been issued by our central office," the Social Security website explains. "The first three (3) digits of a person's social security number are determined by the ZIP code of the mailing address shown on the application for a social security number."

Daniels and Sampson each used a different database showing Obama is using a Social Security number beginning with 042.

"There is obviously a case of fraud going on here," Daniels maintained. "In 15 years of having a private investigator's license in Ohio, I've never seen the Social Security Administration make a mistake of issuing a Connecticut Social Security number to a person who lived in Hawaii. There is no family connection that would appear to explain the anomaly."

Does the Social Security Administration ever re-issue Social Security numbers?

"Never," Daniels said. "It's against the law for a person to have a re-issued or second Social Security number issued."

Daniels said she is "staking my reputation on a conclusion that Obama's use of this Social Security number is fraudulent."

Yep, especially since that CT number belonged to an individual born in 1899. Unless Obama’s carries his age well, its a fraudulent number.

However, it says this number started being used by him in ‘86

He actually used it in 1980 for Selective Service Registration ( if, of course, that record is the original one, and not one created in the past couple of years to cover his tracks )

Back when I got my SSN it was when you got your first job. There is some rhyme to the article but not precisely. My offspring have numbers that were issued shortly after birth that would indicate that they are coded as the article states.

“He worked at Baskin Robins when he was 15 in HI”

So says He? I wonder if there even was Baskin Robins back then?

SS numbers were not issued at birth when he was hatched. We didn’t have to get SS numbers for babies until the late 80’s. I didn’t get a SS number until I was a teen in the early 70’s when I got my first real job..............

That’s not true.Social Security numbers were only issued when you applied for it yourself or your parents applied.

I know because I didn’t have one untill I turned seventeen and needed it to get a job. That was in the late 1960’s.

In Texas, my children born in the 1980’s did not have social security cards until I had to apply for them in order to list them as dependents on our taxes. In the 1990’s, our children born in Nebraska were issued social securtiy cards when their birth was registered by the state. I applied for mine in the seventies when I got my first job.

I wonder if you needed a SS number in the 60’s in order to get a passport ? If so, he must have used another one before this ( since it was issued in the 70’s ) in order to get a passport when he moved to Indonesia.

Social security numbers are issued at birth - to those born in the United States.

Nope. Didn't get mine 'til I got my first job @ age 14. I'm only a few years older than 0.

"It is a crime to use more than one Social Security number, and Barack Obama had to have a previous Social Security number to have worked at Baskin-Robbins," she insisted. "Under current law, a person is not permitted to use more than one Social Security number in a lifetime."

Several have said BO's SS# might have first been issued when he was in college, but the article mentions an assertion that he worked at a Baskin-Robbins in Hawaii as a teenager,.

SS numbers have only recently been issued at birth, relatively speaking.

This Makiki neighborhood store claims he worked there during high school. It is a tourist trap. Baskin Robbins open stores starting in 1953.

Maybe CPUSA was headquartered in Connecticut, and they needed to take out a SSN for Obama when they first started to send him checks. He probably didn’t need a SSN before that. His earlier jobs were probably cash pay only.

Unless there has been some change in the last few years, Social Security numbers are NOT issued at birth. You have to apply for a Social Security number. Most of us did this as teenagers when we graduated from cutting grass or babysitting into a job that required our employer to withhold Social Security.

re: social security number doesn’t conform to the article’s formula at all

Mine doesn't either, but the first three digits 264 indicate it was issued in Tampa. I think they've always used those three digits for that purpose, but changed the numbers at one time. Mine was issued in Tampa in 1958.

He still shouldn’t have used 14 or more different numbers over the years! I say keep digging. Something is being hidden from us and I’m just obstinate enough for that to make me try harder, not give up.
