Climate change could make half the world uninhabitable
Telegraph UK ^ | May 12, 2010 | Louise Gray, Environment Correspondent

Researchers from the University of New South Wales in Australia and Purdue University in the US said global warming will not stop after 2100, the point where most previous projections have ended.

The study, published in the prestigious journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, said humans will not be able to adapt or survive in such conditions.

"Under realistic scenarios out to 2300, we may be faced with temperature increases of 12 degrees or even more," he said. "If this happens, our current worries about sea level rise, occasional heatwaves and bushfires, biodiversity loss and agricultural difficulties will pale into insignificance beside a major threat - as much as half the currently inhabited globe may simply become too hot for people to live there."

"There's something like a 50/50 chance of that over the long term," he said.

This is series. The only solutions is massive redistribution of wealth from developed nations to third world parasites.

I think massive worldwide economic collapse is a more imminent threat.

Some truth to this. Looking back, or civilization would not have survived the last ice age.

It takes a long view and wisdom to survive the changes Earth can deal out. Then, there are changes in the Sun, and the occasional asteroid or comet impact, that even Marxist wealth redistribution would not alleviate.

More like two-thirds: Which happens to be the same two-thirds where liberal fascists have unchecked control.

Half the world is uninhabitable NOW!.................

I guess they have never heard of Siberia, or do not understand there is as much of Canada up there as there is of the rest of North America further South--much of it rendered pretty much uninhabitable by ....COLD! Not to mention the idea of opening up an whole new continent...Antarctica.

Imho, the thing most likely to render this planet uninhabitable is the profusion of liberal nitwits.

50-50 chance.

I agree with them. Either it will happen, or it won't.

Either way, the "researchers" will be long dead, and their grant money will be long gone.

I gotta get into this racket.

I got no problem with that, as long as the half that becomes uninhabitable is the half that contains most of the world’s liberals and enviroweenies.

They have a “Environment Correspondent” ? Basically it’s a climate change advocate, wouldn’t it be nice if newspapers had “Constitutional Correspondent” or “Freedom Correspondent” that could explain exactly what these NWO climate change watermelons were up to everytime they make a press release?

I think I’m prepared for it, but just in case, I just bought a few more bags of ice.
