Sale of Chicago Climate Exchange to ICE Reinforces Weak Carbon Market

On Friday, Sandor and the other shareholders of parent company Climate Exchange cashed out of this big idea for about $600 million. The IntercontinentalExchange (ICE), an electronic futures and derivatives platform based in Atlanta and London, announced it had agreed to purchase the three exchanges, the Chicago Climate Exchange, Chicago Climate Futures Exchange and European Climate Exchange.

The combination brings the still-small U.S. carbon market closer to the profitable world of global over-the-counter (OTC) energy trading, which ICE specializes in. It also consolidates carbon emissions trading under the tents of two major commodity exchanges, ICE and CME Group, which operates the New York Mercantile Exchange's nascent platform for carbon trading, the Green Exchange

Where is the New York Times story laying out the Joyce Foundation instigation, its member, Barack 0bama setting up the CCX in the first place along with Valerie Jarrett, Al Gore’s investing, the Goldman Sachs connections, Franklin Raines involvement and how all of them are going to benefit at the taxpayers’ expense?? That a sitting president is using the power of his office to influence legislation, which he will ultimately sign, that benefits his former colleagues, cronies??

I’m cautiously optimistic that his news means that the brokers behind the Chicago sale see the weriting on the wall with regard to this scam and are getting out while they can. Europeans? Not so much.

Interesting since Glenn Beck's TV show has been disecting this organization piece by piece on his blackboards for the last two weeks.

He has shown who provided seed money to the CCE corporation and it is none other than Barack Obama and Goldman Sachs among many other nefarious players. It is a huge tangled web involving the Joyce foundation and Al Gore and it is disturbing. Glenn Beck is blowing it all up!!

What I meant is the global warming scam that these (CCE, Gore, oBama, et. al., thought they would rake in billions in carbon credits once they pass climate legislation.) I see no chance of that kind of legislation passing...and the Chicago sale tells me that someone is taking their money off the table.

This is only the centralization and consolidation of the scam into one entity for better control of the fraud and to provide cover for certain investors.
