But what do you think an ex-President’s wife was going to say - “Well, in all honesty, I think she’s a dirtbag?”

Oh, stop it. The poster at #72 answered that very succinctly:

"I really wish she hadn’t said that. The most she should have said was that she hadn’t studied Kagan’s history yet and thus couldn’t comment."

Really, is that so freaking hard??

“...W was CONSERVATIVE...”

No. He was always left of center, hence; his “compassionate conservatism” remark at his 1st inauguration where I nearly fell out of my chair when I heard it.

This should tell anyone with half a brain what the Bush family is really about.

Oh and by the way Republican Scott Brown from MA (you know the one guy some people said should be President) well he is going to vote yes on Kagan. And the Republicans wonder why so many conservative are abandoning them...

We don’t know whether he really was pro-life. Politicians lie all the time.

And for the rest of your statement, you can take that up with Glenn Beck.

Another reason why “W” was so wrong n so many issues. He listened to his stupid wife.

I`ve known this for a while, but it was Glenn Beck that first woke me up from my reactionary defense of Bush as well as my general complacency.

I’m sorry, but that comment is just plain dumb. Laura needs muzzled.

Why, because GWB thinks he's a conservate?

The nation is in extreme peril right now and Laura states that she is cool with the Kagan nomination because she is a woman.

The real issue is whether Kagan has the same view of the Constitution as Obama or the Founders.

Are gender issues more important than liberty?

Laura Bush was FN Sunday as promised:

While she declined criticizing the Arizona law she did comment that she doesn't like the tone of the immigration debate because a certain group of immigrants are demonized. She compared the illegals 'demonization' (ie tone) to that of the Irish immigrants and others. She wasnt so concerned with the demonization of Arizona voters by Obama, democrats and the MSM though, just the illegals. Chapter 7 of her compassionate book:

Chapter 7 : Immigration reform : Because we all were illegal immigrants once

Chapter 8 : Compassionate conservatism, because conservatives are not compassionate like me

Chapter 9 : Same-sex marriage, because we need more love in the world.

Chapter 10 : No Child Left Behind , Why the teacher’s union loves your child more than you.

Chapter 11 Judge Sonia Sotomayor :A wise Latino woman on the court can better decide what’s fair for you.

Chapter 12: It’s not a child, it’s a choice. How to move on with your life after getting the ‘good’ news. “

” She compared the illegals ‘demonization’ (ie tone) to that of the Irish immigrants and others. “

As I posted on an earlier Laura Bush book thread , “ she always struck me as a dummy, and I didn’t disappoint myself “ ;-)

I am amazed at the vitriole at Laura on these threads.

These posts look no different than those on the Leftie -Lib websites. And why is this necessary?
where were all these ‘brilliant” analysts 8 years ago?

Its a lot of cheap shots.
