From the AP -
Woolard handled the night's toughest question, about Arizona's new immigration law. Woolard said she supports the law, which requires police enforcing another law to verify a person's immigration status if there's "reasonable suspicion" that the person is in the country illegally.
She said she's against illegal immigration but is also against racial profiling.
"I'm a huge believer in states' rights. I think that's what's so wonderful about America," Woolard said. "So I think it's perfectly fine for Arizona to create that law."
"The Office" actor Oscar Nunez was booed as he asked the question and asked the audience to wait until he finished the question before they reacted. The panel of judges came up with the questions themselves.

You know it had an effect.
according to the article, the winner, from Michigan:
“Fakih, a Lebanese immigrant, told pageant organizers her family celebrates both Muslim and Christian faiths”
take that for what it’s worth
Did her answer to this question cost her the Miss USA title? Just throwing the question out there....
Ummmm... when you have a Muslim winning in a Miss USA sponsored by a Jew-hating Muslim .... I think you know what happened there ... LOL ...
Yep, just like Ms. California a couple years ago.
Taqiyya for what it is worth.
Fakih's family is itself a blend of cultures and religions, including both Christians and Muslims. Though Muslim, Fakih's parents celebrate Christmas and have a painting of Jesus in their home.
If you are born into a Muslim family, you are a Muslim ... that's the way it works.

Seriously, the only thing that was great about her was her gown. Miss USA is now only about sexy.
looks like it...didn’t know the term, but you’re absolutely right it seems...
They have a painting of Jesus. Well, He - or rather a fictionalized version of Him - is a prophet in the Koran. So that’s meaningless. Utterly meaningless.
“Though Muslim, Fakih’s parents celebrate Christmas and have a painting of Jesus in their home.”
I wonder what the painting looks like...I hope it doesn’t have dart holes in it :(
Exactlly! And more FReepers should be a bit smarter about it, too ...
The ultimate in confusion. Obviously they are clueless, most probably about both of those religions.
I wonder what the painting looks like...I hope it doesnt have dart holes in it :(
Well, they wouldn't do that, because in Islam, Jesus is one of the "prophets" -- but Mohammed is the greatest and the last one, on a higher status than Jesus.
Also, in Islam, Jesus did not die on the cross and they consider that to be a lie, perpetrated by Christians. In addition, they take great offense to Christians saying that Jesus is the Son of God, since "Allah" has no son. Thus Jesus is only one of many prophets.
In addition, Jesus does come back, and when He gets here, he helps the Muslims kill all the Jews in the world, too ...
That kind of "Jesus" -- they don't throw darts at ... :-)
She’s liable to be murdered and not by tea partiers.
It seems about every third thread is about Miss America. Who would have thought so many here would have an interest must be a slow news nite...
Well, actually..., I call it pretty "newsy" -- that a Muslim, who has Hezbollah terrorist connections in her family in Lebanon, wins the Miss USA contest, which is sponsored by a Muslim who has family that are Jew-hating, 9/11 Truthers ...
Of course .. the stage was already set for the ARAB to win; they had to take out the competition.
Stinking LIBERALS are at it again.
“...which requires police enforcing another law to verify a person’s immigration status if there’s “reasonable suspicion” that the person is in the country illegally. “
I take this as a step forward...at least they didn’t make it sound like the police could stop people at the icecream shop and ask for papers...unless they’re robbing said icecream shop, of course.
My son has been going steady with a Muslim girl from Bahrain for 2 years now. She looks more like the Miss America contestant than some girl you would see walking around Afghanistan. Her father is a graduate of FSU so he obviously knew what American culture was like when he sent his daughter over. Last summer when she went back to Bahrain for the summer her mother tried to get her to cover her hair up and she told her to get stuffed. Last I checked there was no honor killing, either for the not wearing the headscarf or dating a Catholic.
I realize it may be hard for some of you to believe but just as you know there are Christians and Jews who aren’t Orthodox there are also Muslims who wouldn’t strap on a dynamite vest if you showed them a picture of Mohammed with a bomb turban. They just don’t get the kind of publicity the radical ones do.
Knowing my son’s girlfriend and her family the way I do I find it easier to believe Miss America’s story than most.
During the interview portion, Fakih was asked whether she thought birth control should be paid for by health insurance, and she said she believed it should because it’s costly.
“I believe that birth control is just like every other medication even though it’s a controlled substance,” Fakih said.
“”The Office” actor Oscar Nunez was booed as he asked the question “
Good!
And good for this young lady.
Hey Trump! Did You sell out to the Muslim High Bid?
Shame that she looks like she had to pee herself in her leopard thong!
I guess that muzzies do that - maybe even after FGM!
I need to read more slowly. When I first read your comment I thought you said she was a "lesbian" immigrant!
Uh... birth control is a controlled substance?
This makes no sense.
Were they booing him or booing the law he was asking about? Big difference. Just wondering.
My son has been going steady with a Muslim girl from Bahrain for 2 years now.
That's a real bad "match-up" ... hoo-boy! I would never have any son or daughter have anything to do with a Muslim -- ever, ever ...
Beside Islam being an absolutely evil religion and a violent idealogy for overthowing other countries by force, if it can be done -- on a personal level -- if anything were to ever come of a relationship ... well, it could be nothing but very bad news ...
GENERAL INFORMATION: Bahrain is not a party to the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction, nor are there any international or bilateral treaties in force between Bahrain and the United States dealing with international parental child abduction. American citizens who travel to Bahrain are subject to the jurisdiction of Bahraini courts, as well as to the country''s laws and regulations. This holds true for all legal matters including child custody. Parents planning to travel with their children to Bahrain should bear this in mind.
CUSTODY DISPUTES: There is no specific law in Bahrain governing child custody, with each dispute examined on a case-by-case basis. When child custody disputes arise between parents, one of whom is a citizen of Bahrain, custody decisions are based on Islamic (Shari''a) law. Two separate Islamic courts, representing the jurisprudence of the Sunni and Shia Islamic sects, enforce divergent interpretations of Islamic law. In general, the marriage contract determines which court will exercise jurisdiction. If the contract is silent on this issue, the court representing the husbands sect will have jurisdiction. Non-Bahraini nationals, whether married to a Bahraini or other national, may file custody cases through a lawyer approved to practice in Bahrain in the court in which the marriage was legalized, whether Sunni, Shia or civil. Non-Muslims are permitted to file cases in the Bahrain civil court.
Cheers!
Not hard, if you ask my best friend he’ll probably tell you he’s a “muslim” despite the fact that bacon is his favorite food, he drinks like a horse, and he’s probably forgotten what the inside of a mosque is like.
You would think that with all the people who never go to church yet still call themselves christian, people would understand that there are muslims, buddists, hindus, etc that are the same way.
She went to Catholic Schools. Muslims DO NOT send their kids to Catholic Schools for ANY REASON. Remember, it was the Lebanese Christians that almost decimated the Palestinian population living there in the early 1980’s. The dynamics are very different between the various factions in Lebanon.
They have a nice, private beheading before gathering around the tree and opening presents.
Just more of trying to get the muskies to like us. What a farce.
Bahrain is the San Francisco of the ME. The country the hardliners in the region would love to invade should they ever feel balsy enough simply to rid themselves of the infidels.
Lebanon was once the same way. Unfortunately they HAVE been strangled by Islamofascists for the past 20yrs.
Excellent. Alinsky knew it years ago: Robust boos, heckling, mocking, jeering, and derisive laughter are powerful tools. We should cultivate the willingness and fortitude to be vocally disrespectful when the circumstances call for it, especially when empty-headed, drug-addled, high school dropout musicians and actors prattle about politics from the stage.
Whoa! The isamofascists aren’t going to tolerate that. The Fakihs’ are practically apostates in Mohammed’s eyes.
I’ll probably catch hell for this ...
Wouldn’t “speaks no English” constitute a reasonable suspicion for police to check someone’s immigration status?
The naturalization process requires citizenship applicants to be conversant in English. So if somebody doesn’t speak the language, time to check them out.
They may speak nothing but Swahili or Urdu, but something tells me it might be another language in Arizona.
She knew when she answered the question her chances were over. This has become a liberal event. What next, ribbon cuttings for abortion factories?
Pray for America
She’s Lebanese... they are often a blend of cultures, depending on which part they grew up, and it’s not uncommon to have mixes of religion within the family.
Many people forget there are pockets of christians across the middle east. Some of the traditions they keep are cultural, just as some jews celebrate Christmas in a secular way.
If you have to have a prescription to get it legally, it is a controlled substance. While condoms and some other methods are OTC, I believe the reference was taken to mean implants and the pill.
Shes Lebanese...
Well, with top Hezbollah terrorist officials in her family, it's gonna take a whole lot more than "She's Lebanese..." to persuade me any differently about her, and especially so, with the fact that she's Muslim ... :-)
When I was going to college in the 1970's we had 3 transfer students from Iran. Two guys and a girl, they were 3 of the coolest people I have ever met in my life. Wealthy, educated, good athletes, spoke perfect English. A totally different view of Iran back then. Odds are they are dead or living in exile, no way they could have survived under the Khomeni regime.
Not hard, if you ask my best friend hell probably tell you hes a muslim despite the fact that bacon is his favorite food, he drinks like a horse, and hes probably forgotten what the inside of a mosque is like.
Ahhhh... if Homeland Security and the TSA have read this... they now have some good questions to use to weed out the Muslim terrorists ... thanks for giving them a hint on how to do it ... LOL ...
TSA Question: What is your favorite food?
Terrorist Answer: Bacon.TSA Question: Do you drink at all, drink moderately, or drink like a horse?
Terrorist Answer: Absolutely... I drink like a horse.TSA Question: Okay, last one..., when was the last time you were in a Mosque?
Terrorist Answer: It's been so long ago, I can't even remember what it looks like inside!TSA Agent: Okay, move along! We're busy looking for terrorists.
Muslin Terrorist: Thank you! I just go to pieces thinking about America!
I think Homeland Security and TSA think like you already ... LOL ...
I guess that Homeland Security, TSA and many people on this board don't understand Taqiyya ... :-)
Who the hell ever said thats how we should root out terrorists. MY POINT was to show you that there are ‘muslims’ out there who don’t give a shit about religion...not about catching terrorists.
As for my friend I’ve known him for over ten years, I don’t know you. As far as I know YOU ARE a terrorist practicing taqiyya by coming here and denying it.
