Even without a deficit crisis, France is running out of money to pay for its generous social programs.
95% of French anesthestists are striking today to demand a raise. Several thousands held a particularly annoying protest on the tracks of a major Parisian train station, which blocked trains for hours, according to Le Monde.
As the austerity bug hits France, paying for the world's best health care system will be a major challenge. The country has tried for decades to reduce health care pay and benefits, and only succeeded in stirring up public outrage.

Good thing we joined the club, just in time!
“As the austerity bug hits France, paying for the world’s best health care system will be a major challenge.”

How many Seniors died two years ago because they don’t have air conditioning in their hospitals?
Maybe by ‘best’ they mean most available.
Maggots in a garbage can are more available than diner at a good steak house... but I don’t want them.

The price control model is coming to a medical provider near you. The results are easy to predict: decline in health care availability, labor cartels for health care providers, and lower quality health care. Free health care will be grand.

Asking others to make sacrifices is never going to go down well.
As for France, they’re out of the loop on so many issues-they can’t actually manage to clamp down on any of them..
There is minor reformation like the University system and the military but it fails to reach the farmers or the General education system.
You have too many sectors with too much pull, you won’t have the energy to affect any of the major one.Hence the problem with France is there is about a dozen different agencies, different loyalties to everything from the Catholic Church to retards pretending they are woking for the Queen of England.
Eventually parts of the system get sanctioned off and ignored and left to fall apart.

Burning House office buildings, Senate Suburbans burning on the street. A President unable to leave his office. Military bases locked down. Interstates clogged with stalled trucks
Does the entire health care/insurance industry make a profit?
The socialist/Democrat party says health care industry is a right, a necessity, and should be operated like a non-profit utility.
Take the profit out of the industry and it must, therefore, be cheaper.
The Obammunist Administration is already recruiting hundreds of thousands of new healthcare workers at the Office of the Civilian Volunteer Medical Reserve Corps.
Most high schools and colleges require COMMUNity service. The Obammunist promises this training will lead to jobs in the new socialized medical industry.
