John McCain gets serious about primary (McCain fights J.D. harder than he fought Obama)

Arizona Republicans say GOP Sen. John McCain’s recent staff shake-up is an acknowledgment of the seriousness of his Aug. 24 primary challenge — a contest in which he remains a clear — but nervous — front-runner.

While recent polls have shown McCain with a double-digit lead over former Rep. J.D. Hayworth, in an election year in which one Senate incumbent has already been taken down and several others are facing stiff primary opposition, the departure of two top campaign officials — campaign manager Shiree Verdone and deputy manager Mike Hellon — is being viewed as proof that McCain recognizes that he faces the most serious threat of his 30-year Senate career.

He and his girl Megan can go home. They have mansions. Why bother to annoy people?

I think it’s even worse than that.

I seem to recall Sarah told a Tea Party group she was getting paid to address that McLame was “their guy.”

My respect for Sarah has fallen greatly. I still think she’s a wonderful lady who can lean conservative, but that’s all.

McCain has a pretty substantial lead.

He recently dumped the campaign team that engineered his poor showing against Dear Leader. That namby pampy team is responsible for not going after Dear Leader’s major problems during the ‘08 campaign - birth place, Rev.Wright and Ayres, ACORN, Marxism, etc. That same namby pamby team has kept hidden JD’s scandals that drove him out of office prior to his being charged with ethics violations.

I suspect that what is going to occur now is the new campaign team is going to rapidly remind Arizonans and the rest of the country about the reasons for Hayworth’s demise. It won’t be a pretty situation for JD. This is likely to quickly double McCain’s lead.

I am no fan of McCain, but Hayworth’s record in office was pretty darned bad, too. If he had not been protected by the incompetence of McCain’s campaign staff up to now, he have been a footnote in this primary. The Old Media has been laying in wait, hoping Hayworth would win the primary, after which time they would bring out the big guns to sink his campaign for the general election.

” Now that America is about to have a radical socialist as a Supreme Court Justice interpreting the U.S. Constitution through a Marxist lens for the next 25 years, socialists around the world can thank Useful Idiots like you for you help in making that possible. “

Speaking of “ Useful Idiots “
How about McCain campaigning for Obama while he was supposed to be running against him? Hmmmm?

” Folks, you have nothing to fear from an Obama administration “

I’m here to tell you that Obama is a good person, and a good family man “

O’RLY ??

Then why were you running against him McCain, you traitor!

Put the blame where it belongs, bud.

McCain dominated the Greta show last night. Is Fox News giving JD fair and balanced time?

A resounding NO and it's beginning to give me migraines. Turn on FNC during the day almost guarantees McCain injecting himself on the immigration issue. He's obviously in favor with Hannity, F&F and the MSM who use every opportunity to call on him for his views. Imagine my surprise when JD appeared with O'Reilly last week and did quite well with the short interview.

The AZ immigration law is helping McNasty erase his past amnesty stance and I suspect may fool voters with short memories. JD must ask for more balance especially from FNC and remind voters who Juan really cares about.

Isn’t this just typical of the liberal mindset?

After reading “Going Rogue” by Sarah Palin, all I can say is that McLame doesn’t deserve to be a U.S. Senator.

But Juan McCain is supposedly the teaparty candidate since Sarah endorsed him.

But don't you know she owes him!

“Unfortunately, the dopes in Az will probably re nominate him. “

As a dopey Arizonan, I call you an idiot.

McCain has spent 5 million to Hayworths’ 1 million thus far.

We also have Palin radio ads here every day for 2 months telling Arizonans that McCain saved our state from penury and certain extinction. Hundreds of her ads have run on shows like Limbaugh & Hannity. Very expensive ads.

We also have Hannity, Palin and Fox News pimping for McCain.

Put the blame where it belongs, bud. This was our best chance in years to get rid of the McCain gangster political machine, and now we have to fight Palin, Hannity & Fox News to boot!!

Hannity pulled the same crap in California during the Recall election, blatantly favoring Schwarzenegger the RINO over McClintock.

Arizona is kicking tail right now but as far as JD beating McCain ... its going to come down to educating the voters here - which is going to take money!

People need to contribute to JD’s campaign! www.jdforsenate.com

“Don’t you think that the big problem is that the Republican primary voters of AZ are especially uninformed and just “think” McPain is “conservative”?”

That’s exactly the problem.
