PRINCETON, NJ -- So far in 2010, an average of 23% of Americans have been satisfied with the way things are going in the United States. That is well below the 40% historical average Gallup has measured since 1979, when it began asking this question. The 2010 average is also the lowest Gallup has measured in a midterm election year, dating to 1982.

Hmmmmm, NOT satisfied with becoming a European-socialist nation??? Nah!!
That doesn’t bold well for the Dems.
It's not a referendum on him.
It's always this way.
I can’t get no....
Satisfaction
I can’t get no...
Recov’ry Traction...
When I’m trying to
Find a Job

And he lied
And he tried
To divide
I can’t get no...
No no no

Remind me who was pres in ‘86? The libs hate that...
Whew.... there’s a serious - damn near historic landslide coming, and it’s going to land squarely on the Dems.
Note that the satisfaction number in ‘94 was a full ten percentage points higher than it is today. We all know what happened in those mid-term elections.
What’s funny, is that even with data like this confirming everyone’s forecast for November, there are pundits and Washington insiders blathering on about how the Dems will retain control of Congress this year.
They’re whistling past the graveyard.
I can’t stand Newt as a politician, but he knows his stuff about the business of politics. He predicted yesterday that the Republicans could pick up as many as 70 House seats in November.
One thing’s for sure, and that is, the American people are ready to fire the Dems - right across the boards.
To be fair, the satisfaction rating was the same in 1998, and we all know who was president then.
That’s Unpossible - The One promised us rainbows and skittles...
Cant stand Newt and his baggage but he is a good “idea” man and he has an ability to verbalize our values on many issues.
