Actually, it's more like mixing cognac with champagne on the theory that the combination of two individually fine things will necessarily make both more sublime. But then, opulence is rarely synonymous with "class". Our presumed social betters in the White House appear to confuse mere possession with appreciation, as one might expect of those who achieved their station without true effort, knowledge, or ability.

he should have ESCORTED her out......as in taking her hand or her elbow.....gads, looks like he wants nothing to do with her. Bush escorted his Laura. I am sick of this lack of grace. as for the dress the comments about needing a slip are dead on, otherwise she looks ok, or better than usual.

I’m sorry, she still looks like a guy in drag to me and that dress looks like a blue plastic bag with a sequined rubber band around it.
The dress is great. There is an unfortunate bulge above her right armpit in the picture. Ah well, we all have these things happen.
I will say one thing about her - she’s finally learned to dress like a first lady.

The dress is a beautiful color but the design is a mess.
Notice the one missing strap which makes her skin lap over the front and back. Yuck.

Ok...on the back of the blue gown...is the top laced, cinched? What is the blue liney, ribbony, thingy tailing down the back?
And the ‘one shouldered look’...well, thats just perfect for a woman who always carries a ‘chip’ around with her...
