President Barack Obama will fete Mexican President Felipe Calderon in style tonight at only the second state dinner of his presidency. The meal will be cooked up by an Obama favorite, Rick Bayless, straight from Chicagos own Frontera Grill, and White House executive chef Cristeta Comerford. Entertainment will include Beyonce, Rodrigo y Gabriela, and the Presidents Own United States Marine Band.
The centerpiece of each table will be a bouquet of marzipan roses, the national flower of the U.S., and chocolate dahlias, the national flower of Mexico. Guests walking into the room will experience the sense of Monarch butterflies in flight, the White House says. No word just how that experience will be conveyed maybe through Beyonces dress.

Let them eat Wagyu
I hear that Goat Cheese Ice Cream goes right to the hips :)
“Oregon wagyu beef “
An exhibitionist on a Portland street corner?

Probably the Nitrous balloons...
Or arugula.
Did they have their papers? The President wants to know!
Ain’t Affirmative Action great! We have Marxists running our country into the ground and a 3rd World President slamming us on why we are “mean” to his outsourced peasants who use our services and send money back to his country.
This is madness. What a-holes ever voted for this Maggot-in-Chief?
and how many people are out of work?????????
Pompous rear ends.........
What, no chitterlings?
Bayless IS a kick ass chef. I would love to visit his restaurants.
Well, at least there is something AMERICAN happening tonight...

To start the festifities, I'd give the Mexican president a cheap reproduction of a painting depicting Santa Anna surrendering to Sam Houston... with an inscription of "We remembered the Alamo and we PWNED you at the Battle of San Jacinto."
Don't forget the "toasted homemade marshmallows"
Present Obama farted, Halllelllujjaaaaa!
Homemade marshmallows are quite tasty. :-)
Why would anyone waste Wagyu beef by putting a heavy mole sauce on it? It’s like buying $1500 cognac and drinking it with Pepsi.
Well, I can probably answer my own question. As a Chicagoan, I have seen that one before.
With our business, we travel frequently to other countries. The main reason I enjoy those trips is bcause I am a “foodie” and want to try the native cuisines. And our hosts are always proud to show off the culinary delights of their homelands. It’s always a real treat for us.
They should have fed Calderon Chicago-style deep dish pizza.
The Obama’s seem to be fond of wagyu beef. I suppose good American beef from the nation’s heartland isn’t good enough for Lord Obama. And Michelle has the audacity to lecture us on what we feed our families.
Because they can- They are The Ones We have Beeen Waiting For so says O
