I have informed my friends that if they come to my house during a long term disaster and expect me to provide for them, they need to bring enough food for them AND us, weapons with 1000 rounds of ammo each, and $1000 of junk (coin, face value) silver and/or gold, so I can buy the supplies needed to support them.

If not, they will not be welcomed as friends. The last friend I said that to got angry with me, but hopefully that anger will evolve into awareness and a sense of responsibilty to his family.

This past weekend I saw the 2-hour show "After Armageddon" on the History Channel. I cannot recommend this video strongly enough to anyone interested in preparedness. I am wondering about debt. What’s the problem of being in debt when the economy collapes? It’s not like anyone will send collector’s out to gather millions of homes or cars. Or is it?
I am not in debt, except for owing on my home, but am considering buying more rental units and financing them. This is one aspect I’m wondering about. Thanks for any advice.
