I have a good start: wood stoves with tons of "squaw wood" on every acre; a shallow 4' square well, ropes & buckets; a working outhouse kept in good repair; plenty of tame & wild foods, both of the meat & veggie kinds on the property; the means and the will to defend it, and friendly, cooperative neighbors with the same set of assets and attitudes.
Anything beyond that start is nobody's business except on a 'need to know' basis. ;-)
