CA Senate Race: Fiorina Up Big? (Hints Fiorina Rocketing FTW)
Weekly Standard ^ | May 24, 2010 | Daniel Halper

Can this be for real? From Carly Fiorina's Twitter feed:

@CarlyforCA Breaking news: Fiorina 46%, Campbell 23%, DeVore 14% according to new Survey USA poll. Proof that hard work pays off!

This, I'm told by the Fiorina campaign, was just reported on television on L.A. The last SurveyUSA poll showed Fiorina trailing Campbell 35% to 24%, with DeVore in third at 15%. So, if true, this new poll would represent a huge swing--such a huge swing that I'm curious to see the actual poll.

Who really knows what Carly is for? She says that she’s conservative now but the only record we have is her business record of driving two successful companies right into the ground. That’s a record I could do without for my next Senator.

“Where the flaming incompetent, US-worker hating Carly FioRINO falls in there, I’m not sure.”

Because that Queen of Competence, Sarah "Pied Piper" Palin told them to!

Your low opinion of Sarah Palin is duly noted and it's also apparent her power burns the hell out of you.

Never mind the fact that she endorsed Fiorina to take down Campbell and her plan seems to be working although we won't know for certain until the night of June 8.

Fine. Have your FioRINO. When she goes all Scott Brown on us, and votes to outsource jobs overseas like she did at HP, don’t look at me for the “I told you so’s”. I used all of them up when Schwartzenkennedy (who, I was told, was “conservative enough” and besides “he can win”) took office, betrayed every fiscally conservative tenet, and ran this state even further into the ground.

RINOs are a disease because not only do they make for BAD legislation, a “conservative” label gets slapped on it. Not in my name.... daggit!!!!

You have to remember, this is California we're talking about.

If a Senate candidate is unable to draw some Democrat votes from Los Angeles and San Francisco, they can't win.

The state has changed dramatically since the days of Reagan.

DeVore would have had a chance if the Republican “business as usual” traitors would have backed a real conservative for a change.

Well said. Fortunately you and I have a vote in this primary. Seems like most of the Fiorina cheerleaders here don’t.

2. Liberal Republican lose;

The last Republican elected to the US Senate from CA was "PRO-ABORTION" Pete Wilson in '82 and again in '88.

Pesky fact.

This is not Idaho it is California, the second most liberal / socialist state in the unit.

Fiorina is not boxer lite. Boxer is one of the most repulsive humans on planet earth.

You should focus on your neighbors in Montana and their neighbors in the Dakotas. 3 conservative states with 5 out of 6 extreme liberal rat socialist senators. I will take Fiorina from Ca over those 5 and boxer and Frankenstein any day.

It is a sad day when we conservative give a wink to conservative states that vote these far left liberal socialist rats because they bring home the bacon but when a far left state may elect someone that is not a 100% conservative we cry.

WE ARE THE STUPID PARTY FRO A REASON.

Good letter. My friends who once worked at HP agree completely with Arianna Packard. They despise Carly.

I’m voting for Devore but I’m glad to see Campbell tanking.

Your spirited defense of Fiorina is futile. This is California, and Boxer’s attacks on Fiorina will work here.
Fiorina’s attacks on Boxer could and would be used by any Republican.
But they won’t work if there is an effective counter attack to change the subject, as Boxer has against Fiorina. I want to see Boxer defeated just as bad as anyone. But the difference between you and me is I want to nominate the candidate who can defeat her, not male excuses for the candidate who can’t.

I'll take a Boxer Lite Republican over a Boxer Democrat any day of the week. Whoever wins the Republican Primary will get my vote.

Those who will not vote in the General Election if Devore doesn't win, or will choose to “write in” Devore in the General if he doesn't make the cut, are just Useful Idiots for Boxer.

One less vote for the Republican is one more vote for Boxer.

I will vote for Devore on June 8th, which may backfire and get us the Super RINO Campbell. Either way, if we don't support the winning Republican, we get Boxer for another six years.

And here’s your chance to vote for another liberal Republican over a conservative.

Pesky fact.

I believe the poll.

The Palin endorsement was decisive.

Thanks, SoCalPol.

It's nice to see something other than knee-jerk stuff.

Boxer needs to GO. Apparently California conservatives are seeing who can oust her.

And those Delusional Californians that think we can lead the nation as a conservative state electing 100% conservatives and bring the next Ronald Reagen have not looked at the changes to the state.

We have 10+ million in LA county and millions more in the bay area that are of one bread of rat or another.
