Glenn says no signs flags etc. That is not the free expression of the Tea Party events I have participated in.

There really is no need for two different dates. All it does is cause mostly the same people to have to chose between the two dates. Poor planning.
Back in the 1970's and 80's, businessmen like Stedman in North Carolina, James Evans in Illinois (?) ("America's Choice"), and Eddie Chiles in Texas were crying out for a return to America's constitutional principles. They did so by purchasing full-page ads, radio spots, publishing books, and public speaking, hoping they could enlist millions in the fight.
Sadly, few took up the battle--until now! Now, those who ignored their pleas for reducing the size and scope of government and for a return to constitutional and free enterprise principles are seeing the results of the 2008 election, and they are turning to an examination of the Founders' warnings against tyranny.
"The Destruction of the American Dream" should be required reading for all who attend these gatherings. Perhaps someone might even wish to set up a place for distributing the book to attendees. See what you think after you have examined it.
We're going to Glenn Beck's event on 8/28/10, but hadn't planned to return to DC for 9/12/10. Is anyone else going to 9/12/10 in DC?

Exactly! I'm kind of sorry we are attending the Glenn Beck thing... I'm still mystified as to what exactly he's "preaching", and I fear "trouble" from Sharpton's rally nearby - but we're kind of committed at this point.
The 9/12/09 rally was one of the most amazing rallies we've ever been a part of, and we've participated in MANY rallies since 2000. I'm sorry I'm just learning there's another 9/12 Taxpayer March on DC. I'd like to be a part of it.

Hi, we can’t make it up to DC for the Beck event. Going to our nephew’s wedding in Annapolis on the 5th and then on to DC to stay through the 12th.

It sounds as though the rally Saturday will have more of a religious theme than a Constitutional theme. I suspect most people are assuming it will be a rally for the Constitution.
Well, see if this makes your decision any easier. I will be premiering my film, “Rockin’ the Wall,” how rock ripped the Iron Curtain, on 9/9 at the 9/12 March, and will speak at the 9/11 Mall gathering.

I have not been able to make a firm plan for parking and walking to the site, working on a plan now. I am afraid this crowd size will end all my usual parking areas and “fill-up” the area before parking is allowed in nearby areas. I had thought maybe 4-6 AM was the time to arrive. Parking at Arlington cemetery begins at 8 AM...so?

Since there will be three events countrywide that day, I am not sure of the crowd size this time. I want to be there.
Yeah, I'm not happy with how the entire Beck thing has been "planned". He's given no details about specifically what he's going to speak about, implores us NOT to bring signs (what would be the message anyway?), and told listeners/viewers at the last minute (after most had made travel plans) about tickets for some "exciting/can't miss" Friday night event at the Kennedy Center. Apparently you have to get up at the crack of dawn on Thursday or Friday morning and stand in line for "first come, first served" tix. "Don't miss Friday night at the Kennedy Center!" shouts Glenn with an air of mystery in his voice.
Well, we have plans to be elsewhere, and our friends are flying in on Friday afternoon, so - if we had known about this months earlier - we would have made an effort to get those tickets.
Just ridiculous. And now I'm just learning about the 9/11, 9/12 events in DC. Wish I could trade 8/23 for 9/11, 9/12 in DC, but can't do it at this point.

With FR and other sites, I'm pretty clued into events like this. I'm not sure why I'm just learning about the September 9-12 events in DC just now. So there are gatherings on the Mall for 3 days in a row? I'm still confused, apparently.
Most likely, we'll just have to "be there in spirit". :-(
