Look Who's Behind the White House/Sestak Stonewall

After three months of zipped lips and feigned ignorance, the Obama White House is finally taking real heat over Pennsylvania Democratic Rep. Joe Sestak's consistent claims that the administration offered him a job to drop his Senate bid. Now it's time to redirect the spotlight where it belongs: on the top counsel behind the Washington stonewall, Bob "The Silencer" Bauer.
On Sunday, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs glibly asserted that "lawyers in the White House and others have looked into conversations that were had with Congressman Sestak. And nothing inappropriate happened." With whom were these conversations had? Gibbs won't say. Neither will Attorney General Eric Holder, who dismissed "hypotheticals" when questioned about Sestak's allegations last week on Capitol Hill by GOP Rep. Darrell Issa of California. Holder is simply taking his cue from the commander-in-chief's personal lawyer and Democratic Party legal boss.
You see, on March 10, Issa also sent a letter to Bauer, the White House counsel to the president, requesting specifics: Did White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel contact Sestak? Did White House Deputy Chief of Staff Jim Messina (whom another Democrat, U.S. Senate candidate Andrew Romanoff, has accused of offering a cabinet position in exchange for his withdrawal)? How about the White House Office of Political Affairs? Any other individuals? What position(s) was/were offered in exchange for Sestak's withdrawal? And what, if any, steps did Bauer take to investigate possible criminal activity?
Bauer's answers? Zip. Nada. Zilch. While the veteran attorney ducked under a table with the president, Gibbs stalled publicly as long as he could

Ms Socialite herself...self appointed.
I see where Ozero is heading to Chicago this weekend...Blago better hire some private security guards or the police ala The Godfather movie, will be withdrawn just before the hitmen are to arrive.
Thanks....looks like Romanoff’s deal needs looking into also!!
“Conversations were had”? Who talks like that besides weasels?
No! Really?
Someone should tell the Denver comPost. Maybe they could do a story or something...
Yeah, self-appointed is right. The old floozie hasn’t aged well at all given all the surgery and money she’s spent trying to look youthful.
I would think Blago is likely safe this weekend with the Marxist in town, but I think he should stay home regardless...lol.
Before today, I didn’t know anything about another possible bribe.
" If you shut up, I'll get you a great deal. The Hair Club needs someone to show baldies that
even guys with too much hair can have problems."
Same for pelosi.

Me neither....I have never heard the name Andrew Romanoff!!
I've posted in other threads the fact that Nixon did not resign the day after the guys were caught busting into the Watergate complex -- months of investigation, both by the press and the Senate led to the chance-question from then Counsel Thompson to get the information from Butterfield that there was a taping system in the Oval Office.
This one is not going away simply because Axelrod says the White House lawyers looked into it (confirming that indeed some kind of conversation(s) between Sestak and the WH took place) and says there was nothing "inappropriate". The White House cannot absolve itself, Sestak has not retracted his claim, there will be continuing questioning to both sides, since he is still campaigning for the Senate seat.
I agree with you, LLS, drip ... drip ... drip -- who knows what will be uncovered before this is over.
What do they say about a pattern, isn't this how so many are convicted on circumstantial evidence?
It's the same kind of thing with the "I didn't know him" baloney before 0bama won the Oval Office, Ayres just a guy in the neighborhood, 0bama sat in Wright's church for twenty years but never heard anything, no idea the deep beliefs of commie radical Van Jones, no matter Jarrett says they had been "watching him for years", etc., etc., etc.
We have the whole Blago ordeal, but 0bama innocent. Romanoff, but 0bama ignorant. Now Sestak, the very same kind of thing being claimed, but ho, of course, 0bama *Sgt. Shutlz* here, he knows nothing, nothing!!
It's past time for Sestak to be made to name names, just whom did he meet with when, what were the specific words of the conversation(s)? Do the WH logs verify the time(s) of them occurring? THAT person needs to then be questioned as to why he made Sestak the offer, at whose direction?? And so on up the line.
If Sestak falls on the sword for dear leader, his reputation and career are ruined. Will he do the right thing? Or.... will he be another Stupak?
Yes but.................Nixon didn't have embedded die hard communists, at all levels, covering his flanks.
What did Bob "The Silencer" Bauer know, when did he know it, and how long does the Most Transparent Administration Ever plan to play dodgeball with the public?
There is so much corruption with O's associates, he is one of them. Now it is all about the cover up.

“throwing himself into LAKE MICHIGAN.”
Yes, I believe even these thugs recognize that yet another “suicide” in Ft. Marcy Park might arouse needless suspicions. The only thing that might do in their plans would be if Rahm yielded to the temptation to carve his initials into Blago’s cement boots (although even then, the WH likely would “investigate” and find “no evidence” of foul play).
Yep. It would be political suicide to say, now that he has the nomination... "oops, my bad...maybe Obama really wasn't trying to bribe me to get out of the race. Let's just forget it." So if he does try to walk it back, I'd take it to be a signal that his political survival is secondary to survival, period.
