Republican Jo Ann Emerson Sponsoring union bailout bill! Rino alert
Big government ^ | 5/26/2010 | Bob NcCarty

is back in the news today as one of nine members of the U.S. House of Representatives sponsoring H.R. 3936, a $165 billion union pension bailout bill. But why?

It could be that the seven-term Republican elected in the 8th Congressional District of Southeast Missouri simply loves bailouts. After all, she did vote for the Troubled Assets Relief Program (TARP) and “Cash for Clunkers”. But I don’t think her love for bailouts is the main reason why she is behind the bill.

Instead, I think her sponsorship of the union bailout bill stems from the fact that she is married to Ron Gladney.

In a May 3 post, I pointed out that her second husband is both a Democrat and an labor union attorney for St. Louis-based Bartley Goffstein LLC and that, according to Federal Election Commission records, she has received campaign contributions from a variety of union entities, including the AFL-CIO and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU). And that’s not

Does she have a GOP Primary opponent? This is critical. We’ve got to get to work on this right away.

You’re right; she’s a TRAITOR!!!!

Come on “Show Me State” Freepers; let’s get on this.

I’d prefer a democrat to a RINO any day of the week.

It is just more proof of how ineffective the GOP will be. It doesn’t matter what party they all cave and pander to special interest and we get stuck with the bill and the results.

We need to eliminate career politicians and quite frankly we need to eliminate the two party system we have witnessed how easy it is for marxists to inflitrate our system and take over a party.

Until we actually start fixing the problems within our system we will never make progress and will continue to be slaves to the miscreants.

She “inherited” this seat from her late husband, Bill Emerson, who had a lock on SE Missouri politics for decades. She’s never been a “real” conservative, and as the article points out, her second husband is a Democrat activist, fundraiser, and union lawyer. The sad thing here is that her district is SOLIDLY conservative and we could get a much better rep than her, if someone had the cajones to oppose her in a primary.

Too late for a primary challenge?

This is far, far worse than Dede Scozzofava.

Yeah under a totalitarian system its so much easier to "manage" political opposition. [/sarc]

Wives of politician rarely work out. Most of the are nothing more than “Society B*tches”. Look at Sonny Bono’s wife. I mean would you want McPain’s wife to take his place?

I just called the Missouri GOP Headquarters. The GOP Primary is in August and Jo Ann Emerson DOES have a Primary opponent.

Come on Missouri Freepers and Tea Partiers; can we count on you to get rid of this traitor?

her second husband is a Democrat activist, fundraiser, and union lawyer.

If that's the case, I can't believe that the good people of Missouri would keep this woman? We need to get her out of there. All I know to do is to sic the Tea Partiers of Missouri on her butt.

Last week, a Facebook friend whose family is fairly active in the Democratic party became a fan of Jo Ann Emerson. At the time I thought it was strange, perhaps not so strange after seeing this.
